Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Canterbury Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Canterbury Licensing Committee on 24 June 1982 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Hilltop Tavern, Akaroa.
To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday—Opening at 10 o’clock in the morning and closing at 9 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock on the morning of New Year’s Day.

762 mm Diameter Gas Supply Pipeline to Methanol Plant, Watara—Notice of Application
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the provisions of the Petroleum Act 1937, the Secretary of Energy has applied to the Minister of Energy for a pipeline authorisation to construct and operate the above pipeline for the conveyance of natural gas. The pipeline will pass through various properties along the route which has been marked and is already known to the property owners concerned.
The route is also shown on plans accompanying the application, copies of which are available from Pipeline Project Office, Ministry of Works and Development, P.O. Box 12–184, Wellington North.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the provisions of the Petroleum Act 1937, the Natural Gas Corporation of New Zealand Limited has applied to the Minister of Energy for a pipeline authorisation to construct the above section of the Hawke’s Bay pipeline for the conveyance of natural gas. The Life Insurance Act 1908—Proposed Release of Deposit
THE Mercantile and General Reinsurance Company plc (formerly known as The Mercantile and General Reinsurance Co. Ltd.), has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on life insurance business in New Zealand, and that it proposes to withdraw the deposit which has been made by him pursuant to section 3 of the above-mentioned Act.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 12 (2) of the above-mentioned Act, that, on being satisfied that no moneys are insured or contracted to be insured by the company in or by policies and other contracts issued, granted, or entered into in New Zealand by the company and still in force, he proposes to release to the company on or before the 1st day of October 1982, the deposit made with him by the company.
Any objections to the release of the deposit should be lodged with the Public Trustee at the Public Trust Office, Lambton Quay, Wellington 1, on or before the 30th day of September 1982.

Commerce Act 1975
NOTICE is hereby given of decision No. 70 of the Commerce Commission dated 19 August 1982 relating to a collective pricing application made by the New Zealand Bankers’ Association. By this decision the Commission resolved:
(1) In terms of section 40 (4A) of the Act, to dispense with an inquiry under section 41.
(2) In terms of section 29 (4) of the Act, to approve the collective pricing agreement whereby the trading bank members of the New Zealand Bankers’ Association agree from time to time on the fee for collection services performed by members for life assurance companies under the Group Assurance Scheme operated by the trading banks.
