The Traffic (Dunedin City and Green Island Borough) Notice No. 1, 1981

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

N O T I C E

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Dunedin City and Green Island Borough) Notice No. 1, 1981.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The Traffic (Dunedin City and Green Island Borough) Notice No. 1, 1974, dated the 21st day of May 1974† issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956 is hereby revoked.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

N O T I C E

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Ashburton County) Notice No. 3, 1981.

2. The area and road specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres per hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

4. The Traffic (Ashburton County) Notice 1967 dated the 20th day of December 1967†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956 is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Ashburton County at Rakaia:

Rakaia-Methven via Barrhill Road: from West Town Belt to a point 300 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from West Town Belt.

All that area at Rakaia, excluding the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff), bounded by the southern bank of the Rakaia River; the north-western side of West Town Belt; the south-western side of South Town Belt; the south-eastern side of Old South Road.

The Traffic (Horowhenua County) Notice No. 1, 1981

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

N O T I C E

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Horowhenua County) Notice No. 1, 1981.

2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the first day of December in each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter in the next ensuing year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour fixed by the said section, but, for the remainder of the year the roads are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

3. The Traffic (Horowhenua County) Notice No. 1, 1970, dated the 17th day of August 1970†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, is hereby revoked.
