The Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1981
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
N O T I C E
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1981.
The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
The Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1969, dated the 16th day of May 1969† and the Traffic (Lower Hutt City and Hutt County) Notice No. 1, 1971, dated the 14th day of June 1971‡ and the Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1973, dated the 2nd day of April 1973§ and the Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1980, dated the 12th day of September 1980|| issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956 are hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Lower Hutt City:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne).
No. 58 State Highway (Haywards-Paremata).
All that area at Haywards bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the eastern side of No. 58 State Highway (Haywards-Paremata) with the northern side of Old Haywards Road; thence easterly and southerly, generally, along the northern and eastern side of Old Haywards Road to the north-western side of No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne); thence south-westerly, generally, along that road-side to the south-eastern side of No. 58 State Highway (Haywards-Paremata); thence north-easterly and northerly, generally, along that roadside to the commencing point.
Belmont Road.
Eastern Hutt Road: from the northern boundary of Lower Hutt City to a point 180 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from the subway leading to the Pōmare Railway Station.
Gracefield Road: from a point 490 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Bell Road to Wainuiomata Road.
Harcourt Werry Drive: from a point 580 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Grounsell Crescent to the north-western end of the said road.
Hill Road: from a point 2400 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from Gurney Road to the north-eastern end of the said road.
Seaview Road: from the southern boundary of Lower Hutt City to Parkside Road.
Wainuiomata Road: from a point 100 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said road from Rishworth Street to the southern boundary of Lower Hutt City.
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Lower Hutt City:
Eastern Hutt Road: from a point 280 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from the Stokes Valley Stream Bridge to a point 240 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from the said bridge.
Harcourt Werry Drive: from a point 580 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said drive from Mills Street to Taita Drive.
Seaview Road: from the southern boundary of Lower Hutt City to Parkside Road.

The Traffic (Waimate County) Notice No. 1, 1981
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
N O T I C E
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimate County) Notice No. 1, 1981.
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
The Traffic (Waimate County) Notice No. 2, 1980, dated the 4th day of August 1980†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is hereby revoked.

McLean Street.
Parker Street: from Whites Street to Railway Terrace West.
Pyke Street.
Railway Terrace West: from Whites Street to McLean Street.
Redcliff Road: from Railway Terrace West to a point 100 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from Harris Street.

SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waimate County at St. Andrews:
No. 1 State Highway: (Awanui-Bluff), from a point 360 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State Highway from Blue Cliffs Road to a point 320 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said road from Thackeray Street.
Blue Cliffs Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 650 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from the said State Highway.

Braddon Street: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff), to a point 320 metres measured easterly and southerly, generally, along the said road from the said State Highway.

No. 1 State Highway: (Awanui-Bluff), from a point 570 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State Highway from the Makikihi-Hunter Road to a point 100 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State Highway from the Makikihi-Hunter Road.
Frederick Street: from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 240 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said road from the said State Highway.
