HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL BY HIS DEPUTY
IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment
Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour made
after consultation with the unions, associations, and
organisations referred to in section 5 of that Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.

O R D E R

  1. Title—This order may be cited as the Auckland Protected
    Employment Trust Order 1981.

  2. Exemption—The Auckland Protected Employment Trust,
    an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under
    section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act
    1960, is hereby granted exemption, in respect of its sheltered
    workshop at 11 Laureston Avenue, Papatoetoe, from—

(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that
would otherwise apply to persons employed in that
workshop; and

(b) The Annual Holidays Act 1944, the Minimum Wage
Act 1945; and

(c) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946, and all the pro-
visions of that Act relating to the payment of a
factory registration fee.

    section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act
    1960, is hereby granted exemption, in respect of its sheltered
    workshop at The Manse, The Esplanade, Kaikoura, from—

(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that
would otherwise apply to persons employed in that
workshop; and

(b) The Annual Holidays Act 1944, the Minimum Wage
Act 1945, and section 34 of the Factories Act 1946.

Directing the Sale of Land in the City of Christchurch

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land
described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer
required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

All those pieces of land situated in Block XV, Christchurch
Survey District, described as follows:

in the City of Auckland, and being Allotment 41, Section 22,

Appointing a Member of the Auckland Harbour Bridge
Authority
DAVID BEATTIE, Governor-General

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Auckland Harbour Bridge Act
1950, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints
Robert Victor Browne, Esquire, of Auckland, accountant, to
be a member of the Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority for
a term of 5 years, as from the date of this appointment.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 17th day of July 1981.
