SITUATED within Christchurch City:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) that portion known as the Christchurch Southern Arterial: from the south-eastern boundary of Paparua County to the south-western boundary of Waimairi County, and from the south-eastern boundary of Waimairi County along that side of the said State highway restricted to vehicles travelling in an easterly direction to a point 80 metres measured westerly, generally, along that roadside from Barrington Street, and from the south-eastern boundary of Waimairi County along that side of the said State highway restricted to vehicles travelling in a westerly direction to a point 50 metres measured westerly, generally, along that roadside from Barrington Street.

Carlets Road: from a point 130 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from Halswell Road to No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff).

The Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 1, 1981

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 1, 1981.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 5, 1978, dated the 11th day of July 1978† and the Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 1, 1980, dated the 6th day of June 1980‡, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, are hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Paparua County at Hornby, Sockburn and Upper Riccarton:

SITUATED within Paparua County at Hornby, Sockburn, and Avonhead.

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 50 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Main South Road to a point 350 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State highway from Blenheim Road, and from a point 480 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Halswell Junction Road to the western boundary of Waimairi County.

Blenheim Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to Foremans Road.

Halswell Junction Road: from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to Foremans Road.

Rusley Road: from a point 50 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along Rusley Road from the No. 73 State Highway (Christchurch-Kumara) to a point 120 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along Rusley Road from Ryans Road.
