State Forest Land Set Apart as Dedicated Area—Lake Christabel Ecological Area—Westland Conservancy

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Forests Act 1949 (as inserted by section 2 of the Forests Amendment Act 1973, and amended by section 5 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), the Minister of Forests hereby gives notice that the various areas of land described in the Schedule hereto are hereby set apart and dedicated for the purpose of preservation of the forest types around Lake Christabel. The area of land so dedicated shall be known as the Lake Christabel Ecological Area.

The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 1, 1981

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 1, 1981.

The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 4, 1969, dated the 15th day of September 1969†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulations 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Whangarei County, at Maungatapere.

Mangakahia Road: from No. 14 State Highway (Whangarei-Dargaville) to a point 500 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from the said State highway.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Whangarei County, at Maungatapere.

No. 14 State Highway (Whangarei-Dargaville): from a point 440 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State highway from Mangakahia Road to a point 520 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State highway from Mangakahia Road.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The Traffic (Christchurch City) Notice No. 1, 1980, dated the 6th day of June 1980*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, is hereby revoked.
