PURSUANT to section 82 of the Cinematograph Films Act 1976, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation Ltd. applied for a review of the feature film Let's Get Laid! which had been rejected for exhibition by the Chief Censor of Films.
The film, which is in the tradition of farce, deals with the escapades of Gordon Laid, a young corporal who becomes inadvertently involved in the dealings of an international broker.
In general the Board found the film, in particular the music and dialogue, entertaining. It was considered excisions could be made without harming the flow of the narrative. The Board requested 3 excisions for indecent behaviour which the applicant accepted.
The film was therefore approved for exhibition only to persons 18 years of age and over.
The Board agreed the trailer for Let's Get Laid! did not represent the film as a whole, as it placed undue emphasis on the sexual episodes of the film. They therefore rejected the trailer for exhibition.
Date of Review: 22 August 1980.

A. B. BEATSON, Chairman.
