(c) One member appointed by the Minister of Education
on the nomination of Federated Farmers of New
Zealand Incorporated;

(d) One member appointed by the Minister of Education
on the nomination of the New Zealand Manufac-
turers’ Federation Incorporated;

(e) One member appointed by the Minister of Education
on the nomination of the New Zealand Employers’
Federation Incorporated;

(f) One member appointed by the Minister of Education
on the nomination of the New Zealand Federation
of Labour;

(g) One member who shall be the Principal of the New
Zealand Technical Correspondence Institute;

(h) One member who shall represent the teaching staff
of the New Zealand Technical Correspondence Insti-
tute, and who shall be elected by full-time teachers
employed by the Council, and who shall be a teacher
employed by the Council;

(i) One member who shall represent the ancillary staff of
the New Zealand Technical Correspondence Institute
and who shall be elected by the full time ancillary
staff employed at the Institute and who shall be a
member of the ancillary staff employed at the
Institute;

(j) One member co-opted by the Council itself, if and when
it thinks fit.

  1. (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause, every mem-
    ber of the New Zealand Technical Correspondence Institute
    Council shall hold office for a term of 3 years, but may,
    from time to time, be reappointed or re-elected.

(2) Except in the case of a casual vacancy, every member
shall hold office until the 31st day of July in the third year
after that member’s appointment or election, and if, on the
31st day of July, the appointment or election of the successor
has not been notified to the Council, that member shall con-
tinue to hold office until the date on which that appointment
or election is so notified.

(3) If any member dies, or personally notifies resignation
by writing addressed to the Council or the Chairman or the
Secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from the meet-
ings of the Council for 3 consecutive months, or while hold-
ing office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a
member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled, as soon
as practicable thereafter, by the appointment or election of
a member in the manner in which the vacating member was
appointed or elected, and the member appointed or elected
to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the
term of office of the member whom he replaces.

(4) The co-opted member shall be appointed for such term
as the Council may determine not exceeding 3 years, but that
member shall vacate office at the expiry of the term of office
of the appointed members. The co-opted member may be
reappointed and that member’s appointment may be cancelled
at any time by the Council.

(5) The powers of the Council shall not be affected by any
vacancy in its membership.

The Craighead Diocesan School (Attendance Dues)
Notice 1980

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Private Schools Conditional
Integration Act 1975, and the Integration Agreement entered
into between the Minister of Education and the proprietor of
Craighead Diocesan School, Timaru, the Minister of Education
hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice shall be cited as the Craighead Diocesan School
    Notice 1980.

  2. The proprietor of Craighead Diocesan School may enter
    into an agreement with parents or other persons who accept
    responsibility for the education of a child at Craighead
    Diocesan School requiring them to pay attendance dues.

  3. The attendance dues in respect of Craighead Diocesan
    School shall be $165 per pupil per term.

Notice 1980

PURSUANT to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the
Minister of Education gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Craighead Diocesan
    School Board of Governors Notice 1980.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on 2 February 1981.

  2. The Board of Governors of Craighead Diocesan School
    shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the education board of the
district of Canterbury;
(b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
(c) Five members elected by the parents of pupils attending
the school;
(d) Four members appointed by the proprietor of the
school.

Minister of Education gives the following notice:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Turakina Maori Girls’
    College Board of Governors Notice 1980.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on 2 February 1981.

  2. The Board of Governors of Turakina Maori Girls College
    shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the education board of the
district of Wanganui;
(b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
(c) Five members elected by the parents of pupils attend-
ing the school;
(d) Four members appointed by the proprietor of the
school.

  2. The organisation specified in the Schedule hereto is
    hereby declared to be an approved organisation for the
    purpose of the Marriage Act 1955.
