Where practical, marker buoys, either barrel, drum or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be moored 50 metres and 200 metres from the lake margin at normal lake level and in line with each set of transit posts.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provision to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is in, on, or using the waters, or fishing, or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

Declaring Public Highway to be State Highway
PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works and Development, gives notice that the public highway described in the Schedule hereto is declared to be State highway, within the meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act, and that the Schedule of the notice declaring public highways to be State highways, published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, No. 20, page 384, is amended by adding to it the paragraph described in the Schedule hereto.

No. 99 State Highway (Invercargill-Tuatapere)
THAT area of land contiguous with No. 99 State Highway in Southland County measuring 51 square metres and marked as Lot 3 on diagram C of D.P. 10374, Southland Registry.

Industries Development Commission Notice No. 1981/10
ENQUIRY concerning protection for the New Zealand Writing Instrument Industry of Tariff Headings 98.03, 98.04 and 98.05—Industries Development Commission Report No. 16

Following receipt by the Minister of Trade and Industry of a report from the Emergency Protection Authority concerning temporary protection for the New Zealand writing instrument industry, the Minister notified the Industries Development Commission in a letter, dated 12 December 1980 that the authority had concluded that urgent action was necessary to protect the local industry. Government had accepted part of the authority’s recommendations.

In accordance with the Industries Development Commission Act 1961, the Minister requested the commission to enquire into and report on the writing instrument industry in terms of section 10g of the Act, by 4 December 1981.

The commission has now completed its report which was forwarded to the Minister on 4 December 1981. A decision concerning the release of the report will be made by the Minister in due course.

National Development Act 1979—Application by New Zealand Synthetic Fuels Corporation Limited—Publication of Report and Recommendations
In accordance with the requirements of subsection (1) of section 10 of the Act, the Tribunal has prepared and submitted to the Minister of National Development a written report and recommendation on the application referred to it on 26 February 1981.
As required by subsection 2 (c) of that section, copies of the report and recommendation are available at the office of the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Second Floor, Databank House, 175 The Terrace, Wellington. A fee of $5 per copy will be charged. Copies are also available for inspection only, from the Tribunals Division offices, Department of Justice, at Auckland and Christchurch and the High Court at New Plymouth and Dunedin.

Consent to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
