Redefinition of Boundaries of the Marlborough Pest Destruction District (Notice No. 2701, Ag. 6/13/2/6A)

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 23 (1) of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (i) This order may be cited as the Redefinition of the Marlborough Pest Destruction District.

(ii) The boundaries of the Marlborough Pest Destruction District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 20th day of May 1974, are hereby redefined and, as from the commencement of the order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF MARLBOROUGH PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Marlborough and Nelson Land Districts, Marlborough County, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the sea coast and the middle of the Waima River, in Block XVII, Cape Campbell Survey District, and proceeding generally westerly along the middle of that river to a point due north of the intersection of the right bank of that river and the production of the eastern boundary of part Lot 6, D.P. 346 in Block III, Whernside Survey District; thence due south to that right bank and generally southerly, south-westerly and north-westerly to and along the eastern, south-eastern and south-western boundaries of that part Lot 6 to the north-eastern corner of D.P. 710, in Block III, Whernside Survey District; thence generally westerly along the southern boundary of D.P. 710 to its westernmost corner; thence generally westerly along the southern boundary of Run 209 to the Crown land lying between the said Run 209 and the Swale River, and continuing generally westerly to and along the said boundary, and the southern boundary of Run 121A to the eastern boundary of part Run 207 in Block VII, Tapuaenuku Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of part Run 207 to the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block X, Tapuaenuku Survey District; thence generally south-easterly along the summit of the Inland Kaikoura Range to the point known as Pinnacle, 1.2 kilometres north of Tapuaenuku; thence along a bearing of 240° for distance of approximately 4.32 kilometres to the summit of the said range; thence generally south-westerly along the summit of the said range to the south-western boundary of Section 1, Block IX, Tapuaenuku Survey District; thence generally south-westerly and westerly along the south-eastern and southern boundaries of part Run 216 and the southern boundary of Run 219 to the westernmost corner of the said Run 219 in Block VI, Barefell Survey District; thence north-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Run 219 to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Run 226 in Block VI, Barefell Survey District; thence generally north-westerly and north-easterly to and along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Run to the northern corner of part Section 4, Mullor Run, Awatere Registration District, in Block III, Barefell Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to the south-western corner of part Section 13, Langride Run, Awatere Registration District, in Block XXII, Molesworth Survy District; thence northerly along the western boundary of the southern parcel of the said part Section 13 to a point due east of the southernmost corner of the northern parcel of the said part Section 13; thence due west to the said southernmost corner and continuing northerly along the western boundary of the said part Section 13 to the western boundary of Run 218; thence northerly and westerly along the western and northern boundaries of Run 218 to the western boundary of the said Run, on the watershed between the Acheron and Awatere Rivers at a point approximately 1.45 kilometres south of Trig Station Murphy in Block XXI, Molesworth Survey District; thence generally south-westerly, northerly and south-westerly along the north-eastern, eastern and north-western boundaries of Run 226 to the northern boundary of Section 6, Square 70, in Block VII, Wairau Survey District; thence westerly along that boundary to the eastern side of a Public Road in Block XII, Rainbow Survey District; thence generally south-westerly to and along the northern boundary of Section 6 aforesaid to Mount Dora, a point on the summit of the Crimea and St. Arnaud ranges through Belvedere Peak, Mount McKay, Cotterell Peak and St. Arnaud Trig to the south-eastern boundary of Section 11, Block XIV, Motupiko Survey District; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the south-western boundary of part Section 6, Square 34, in Block XV, Motupiko Survey District; thence north-westerly along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of a Public Road; thence westerly along the southern side of that Public Road to the southern side of No. 63 State Highway; thence easterly along the southern side of that highway to its intersection with a right line between Trig Station Top 2 in Block III, Raglan Survey District and Barcfell Pass in Block IV, Barefell Survey District; thence north-westerly along that right line to the said Trig Station Top 2, in Block III, Raglan Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to Wards Pass in Block VII, Patriarch Survey District; thence generally north-easterly along the summit of the Richmond Range to Ada Flat in Block XIV, Pine Valley Survey District; thence north-westerly along the watershed between the Pelorus and Lee Rivers approximately 1200 metres to the source of the Pelorus River; thence generally north-easterly down the middle of the Pelorus River to a point in line with the middle line of Heringa Stream in Block VII, Heringa Survey District; thence generally north-westerly to and along the middle of the Heringa Stream to its source, and along a right line to Trig Station B (Saddle Hill): thence generally north-easterly along the summit of the Bryant Range to North Castor Peak in Block VIII, Whangamoa Survey District; thence northerly along a right line to the sea coast at Pukerau Point in Block IV, Whangamoa Survey District; thence due east along that parallel of latitude to meridian of longitude 174° 30' east; thence due south along that meridian to a point due east of the southernmost corner of Section 4, Block XIV, Arapawa Survey District; thence due west to the sea coast of Glasgow Bay, in Block XIV, aforesaid; thence generally southerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement.

Declaration that State Forest Land Ceases to be Part of Rimutaka State Forest Park

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 63b (2) of the Forests Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the area of State forest land described in the Schedule hereto, having been set apart as part of Rimutaka State Forest Park by a Proclamation published in the Gazette, 1972, p. 1641, hereby ceases to be part of Rimutaka State Forest Park as from the date of publication hereof.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—HUTT COUNTY

1472 square metres, being part Lot 1, L.T. 50482 (previously part of Lot 1, D.P. 23716, part C.T. 5C/157) and 5790 square metres, being part Lot 1, L.T. 50482 (previously part section 83, Block VI, Pencarrow Survey District, part C.T. B4/1021).

All situated in Block VI, Pencarrow Survey District and shown on plan R27/3, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.
