The land is situated along Okahu Road in the Mangonui County except for the land shown as part Kaitaia Domain which is in the Kaitaia Borough.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

Notice is hereby given that the Cook County Council, acting under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a road. The said land, the owner of which is deceased without apparent successors-in-title, is situated on the Waingake-Mangapoike Road adjoining the property of Mr M. T. O. Harding and adjacent to the new Patemaru Station bridge, 32 kilometres south-west of Gisborne. The Council is taking the current action in order to complete an extensive legalisation of new and old bridge approaches, all the consents for which have otherwise been obtained.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said council at 389 Gladstone Road, Gisborne, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons directly affected by the taking of such land must set forth in writing any objection they may wish to make to the taking of the land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and send the same within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to the Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Department of Justice, Private Bag, Wellington, and a copy to the Council.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
