to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, the jurisdiction of the Family Courts and the jurisdiction of the Children and Young Persons Courts.

to act as deputy for Norman Douglas Oliver, an appointed member of the said Tribunal, during the incapacity of the said Norman Douglas Oliver.

PURSUANT to section 42 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973 (as substituted by section 3 of the Industrial Relations Amendment Act 1977), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice of the Minister of Labour, has been pleased to appoint Ashley Russ, of Wellington, trade union secretary, to be, in respect of each nominated member of the Arbitration Court appointed under section 33 (1) (d) of the Industrial Relations Act 1973 (as substituted by the said section 3), an acting nominated member of the Arbitration Court (in which capacity the said Ashley Russ shall, in accordance with section 43 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973 (as substituted by the said section 3), hold office for a term of 5 years from the 14th day of August 1981).

Acting Nominated Member of the Arbitration Court Appointed
