Notice by Examiner of Commercial Practices of Consent to a Merger and Takeover Proposal
THE notice with the above heading, referring to Phillipps & Impey Ltd., published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 80, on 9 July 1981, should
read as follows:

Proposal
(a) Hardie Holdings (N.Z.) Ltd., may acquire all the shares in James
Hardie & Co. Pty. Ltd. (N.Z.), Hardie Trading Ltd., E. H. Lund &
Co. Ltd., and 51 percent of the shares in Polycell Products Ltd.
(being the shares not currently held by Phillipps & Impey Ltd.) and
(b) Phillipps & Impey Ltd., to acquire all the shares in James Hardie &
Co. Pty. Ltd. (N.Z.), Hardie Trading Ltd., E. H. Lund & Co. Ltd.
and 51 percent (5100 shares) of the shares in Polycell Products Ltd.,
from Hardie Holdings (N.Z.) Ltd.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land
described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer
required for the purpose for which it was acquired.
SCHEDULE
HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 379 square metres, situated
in Block I, Clive Survey District, being Section 61; as shown
on plan S.O. 7971, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor
at Napier, and thereon marked as above mentioned.

Appointment of Taxation Review Authority
His Excellency the Governor-General by his deputy has
been pleased to appoint pursuant to section 23 of the Inland
Revenue Department Act 1974,
Paul Franklin Barber of Wellington
District Court Judge, to be the Taxation Review Authority
for a term of 7 years on and from 26 October 1981.

District Court Judge Appointed
PURSUANT to section 5 of the District Courts Act 1947, and
section 21 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1974,
His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
appoint
Douglas John Tucker, barrister and solicitor of Grey-
mouth
to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal
jurisdiction in New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the
Children and Young Persons Court.
