Textile Industry Training Board—Amendment to List of
Board Members

Pursuant to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby declares that the Textile Industry Training Board Notice 1977* is amended by the addition of the following paragraph to subclause (1) of clause 2 of the said notice.

“(1) One member appointed by the New Zealand Woolscourers' Association Incorporated.”

Aviation and Travel Industry Training Board Notice 1980

Pursuant to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Aviation and Travel Industry Board Notice 1980.
   (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1980.

2. (1) There shall be an Industrial Training Board for the aviation and travel industries which shall be known as the Aviation and Travel Industry Training Board and shall comprise the following members:
   (a) Three members appointed by the Chief Executive of Air New Zealand Limited;
   (b) One member appointed by the Aviation Industry Association of New Zealand (Inc.);
   (c) One member appointed by the New Zealand Institute of Travel Incorporated;
   (d) One member appointed by the New Zealand National Travel Association (Incorporated);
   (e) One member appointed by the Travel Agents Association of New Zealand Incorporated;
   (f) One member appointed by the Director-General of Education;
   (g) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council;
   (h) One member appointed by the New Zealand Federation of Labour.

(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1) of this clause, the Board may co-opt not more than two additional members.

3. (1) The appointed members shall hold office for a period of 2 years, but may from time to time be reappointed.
   (2) Any co-opted member shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board for a period not exceeding 2 years, but may if eligible be reappointed.
   (3) If any member dies or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Board or the Chairman or the Secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Board for three consecutive meetings, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed, and the member appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaces.
   (4) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed member of the Board shall continue in office until his successor comes into office.
   (5) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.

4. (1) Deputy members may be appointed in the same manner as appointed members, to be the deputy of a member and act in the event of the absence of the member from any meeting of the Board.
   (2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1) of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member of the Board. The fact that any person so acts shall be sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

5. The Aviation Industry Training Board Notice 1974* is hereby revoked.
