Inclusion of Areas of Lake, Harbour, and Territorial Sea in Marlborough United Council

PURSUANT to section 19 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977, the Minister gives the following notice:
The lakes, harbours, and territorial seas within the areas specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby included in the region of the Marlborough United Council, a body constituted pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974 by Order in Council dated 18 December 1978 and published in New Zealand Gazette, 11 January 1979, No. 1, at page 1.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area of lake, harbour, and territorial sea within a line commencing on the mean high-water mark on the sea coast at Pukerau Point in Block IV, Whangamoa Survey District, and then proceeding due east along a right line to its intersection with the outer limits of the territorial sea (as shown on sea chart N.Z. 25); thence north-easterly and south-easterly generally along the outer limit of the territorial sea to the most southerly point at the northern entrance to Cook Strait; and thence proceeding generally in a southerly direction through Cook Strait along a line midway between the mean high-water mark on the North Island sea coast and the mean high-water mark on the South Island sea coast to the most northerly point on the outer limit of the territorial sea (as shown on sea chart N.Z. 25) at the southern entrance to Cook Strait; and thence south-westerly generally to a point in line with the mid point of the mouth of the Conway River; thence north-westerly along a right line to and along the mid point of the Conway River following the boundary of the Kaikoura County; and thence north-westerly and north-easterly generally along the Kaikoura County boundary to the point where it intersects with the Marlborough County boundary; and thence north-easterly generally along the Marlborough County boundary to the point of commencement.

Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Havelock North Borough Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a reserve for local purpose (Soil Conservation and River Control) and further, pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, vests the said reserve in the Havelock North Borough Council in trust for that purpose.

Vesting of a Reserve in the Nelson City Council

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby vests the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, in the Nelson City Council in trust for a reserve for recreation purposes.
