NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Waimarama Beach, Hawke’s Bay) Notice 1980.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette.

  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in Second Schedule hereto, regulations 7 (1) (a) and (b), 7 (2), 8 (1) (a) and (b), and 8 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979, shall not apply to the area specified in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

All that area of water within 200 metres of the waters edge bounded to the north by a line delineated by a marker post located on a bearing of 53° 00′ for a distance of 55 metres from the northern boundary peg of Lot 1, D.P. 11047, Block X, Kidnapper Survey District, and a post located on a bearing of 43° 21′ for a distance of 14.9 metres from the northern boundary peg of Lot 1, D.P. 11047, Block X, Kidnapper Survey District, and bounded to the south by a line as delineated by a marker post located on a bearing of 75° 50′ for a distance of 10 metres from the eastern boundary peg of Lot 41, D.P. 11046, Block X, Kidnapper Survey District, and a post located on a bearing of 165° 20′ for a distance of 7.4 metres from the southern boundary peg of Lot 47, D.P. 11046, Block X, Kidnapper Survey District, as more particularly shown on plan M.D. 16045, deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport, Wellington.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provisions to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots, shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is in, on, or using the water, or fishing or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

  2. All persons in charge of a vessel or when water skiing shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

  3. A suitable notice as may be approved by the Regional Marine Officer, Ministry of Transport, Wellington, shall be erected at sites deemed necessary by the Regional Marine Officer.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to section 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Robin Paul Taylor, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Raglan Harbour Board Foreshore Control Bylaws 1980, passed and adopted by the said Board on 24 November 1980.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws—Port Waikato

PURSUANT to sections 8a and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Robin Paul Taylor, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Raglan County Council Foreshore Control Bylaws 1980, passed and adopted by the said Council on 24 November 1980.

Approval of Taxi Audible Warning Devices

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of subclause (5) of regulation 69, of the said regulations, taxi audible warning devices of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Taxi audible warning devices manufactured by Robt. McLean Ltd. and Aucom Electronics Ltd., of Christchurch, and marked “Mather Banshee Taxi Alarm Model A1115”.

The Road Classification (Rotorua District)

Notice No. 1, 1980

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1980.

  2. The Rotorua District Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. The notice dated the 15th day of June 7979†, which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby revoked.
