Maori Land Development Notice
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows:
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Wanganui 1980, No. 9.

The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.
-
The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a papa-kainga, a place for meeting and recreation and social gatherings for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Apa Tribe.

The Water Recreation (Blue Lake) Notice 1980
PURSUANT to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*, I, Robin Paul Taylor, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give the following notice.
NOTICE
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Blue Lake) Notice 1980.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and it shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette.
- Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 7 (1) (a) and (b), 7 (2), 8 (1) (a) and (b) and 8 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1980, shall not apply in the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto during the hours of 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL the waters of Blue Lake, situated in Block II, St. Bathans Survey District, excepting thereout the southern portion of the lake as marked by notice boards at the waters edge and as more particularly shown coloured blue on plan M.D. 16044.
SECOND SCHEDULE
-
Notwithstanding any other provisions of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provisions to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots, shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is in, on, or using the water, or fishing or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

All persons in charge of a vessel or when skiing shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all other Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

A suitable notice as may be approved by the Regional Marine Officer, Ministry of Transport, Christchurch, shall be erected at the launching ramp.

The Water Recreation (Retaruke and Ongarue Rivers) Notice 1980
PURSUANT to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*, I, Robin Paul Taylor, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give the following notice.
NOTICE
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Retaruke and Ongarue Rivers) Notice 1980.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette.
- Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 7 (1) (a) and (b), and 7 (2) of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979, shall not apply to the area specified in the First Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
FIRSTLY, all that area of the Retaruke River, extending 700 metres upstream from the confluence of the Wanganui and Retaruke Rivers, as more particularly shown marked blue on plan M.D. 16043.
Secondly, all that area of the Ongarue River, extending upwards from the confluence of the Wanganui and Ongarue Rivers up to the State Highway 4 bridge, as more particularly shown coloured red on plan M.D. 16042.
SECOND SCHEDULE

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this notice, no person who is permitted by any such provision to propel or navigate a small craft at a speed through the water exceeding 5 knots, shall do so in any manner that is likely to endanger or unduly annoy any person who is in, on, or using the water, or fishing or undertaking any recreational activity in the vicinity of the small craft.

A suitable notice as may be approved by the Regional Marine Officer, Ministry of Transport, Wellington, shall be erected at the sites deemed necessary by the Regional Marine Officer.
