SCHEDULE II
- The sensing unit is to be attached to the exhaust system so that the optical path is unobscured and is as close as is practicable to the end of the exhaust pipe.
- The lenses are to be clean.
- The readout unit is to be adjusted to read zero.
- The optical path is then to be blocked and the readout unit adjusted to read 100.
- Steps 3 and 4 are to be repeated until no further adjustment is necessary.
- When tested with a neutral density optical filter of nominal opacity 50 percent the instrument reading is to be within ±2 units of the known filter opacity.
- Exhaust smoke opacity is to be measured with the engine operating under a load other than one imposed solely by its own rotational inertia.
- With engine off and without further adjustment or cleaning, the instrument reading is to be checked at zero obscuration and with a neutral density optical filter of nominal opacity 50 percent.
- The maximum discrepancy observed in (8) is not to exceed 6 units.
- For the purposes of regulation 28 (2) (b) of the said regulations the exhaust smoke opacity shall be that measured in (7) less any discrepancy observed in (8).

Notice Declaring Perennial Nettle (Urtica Dioica) a Class B Noxious Plant (No. 2462, Ag. 12/10/10)

Pursuant to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plant Council hereby declares Perennial Nettle (Urtica dioica) to be a Class B noxious plant in those parts of New Zealand lying within the boundaries of the Stratford, Hawera, Patca, Waitotara, and Eltham District Noxious Plants Authorities.

This notice shall come into effect on the day after the date of notification in the Gazette.

Pursuant to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plants Council hereby declares Grecian Thistle (Chamaepeuce afra) to be a Class B noxious plant in those parts of New Zealand lying within the boundaries of Cheviot and Rangiora District Noxious Plants Authorities.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975
Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that Sacred Heart Girls College, Hamilton, and St John's College, Hamilton, have entered into the State system of education in accordance with the provisions of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975. The agreements will take effect on 17 November 1980.
A copy of each integration agreement is available for inspection at the Department of Education, Head Office, Government Building, Wellington.

Commerce Act 1975
Notice is given that by Decision No. 48 of the Commerce Commission, it resolved to approve a collective pricing application made by the Auckland Joinery Manufacturers Association. This relates to the calculation of a service trader's hourly charge out rate. Approval was given upon the condition that the association shall submit any proposed amendment or modification to the Commerce Commission for approval before any change is implemented.
The full decision is available for inspection at the Commission's office, Sixth Floor, Chase N.B.A. House, 163 The Terrace, Wellington (P.O. Box 10069). Copies may be obtained.

Insurance Companies Deposits Act 1953—Proposed Release of Deposits
The Insurance Company of North America has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on classes 1, 2, and 4 insurance business in New Zealand, and proposes pursuant to section 19 of the above-mentioned Act to withdraw the deposits which have been made by it with the Public Trustee.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 19 (3) of the above-mentioned Act, that being satisfied that the liabilities of the above-mentioned company in respect of the classes of insurance designated as class 1, class 2, and class 4 in the First Schedule of the above-mentioned Act have been provided for, he proposes to release to the above-mentioned company on or after 3 November 1980, the deposits made by it in respect of classes 1, 2, and 4 insurance business.
Any objections to the release of the deposits should be lodged with the Public Trustee, Lambton Quay, Wellington 1, on or after 27 October 1980.
