Inclusion of Areas of Lake, Harbour and Territorial Sea Within Auckland Regional Planning Area

PURSUANT to section 19 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977, the Minister gives the following notice.
The lakes, harbours, and territorial seas within the area specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby included in the planning region of the Auckland Regional Authority, a body constituted under the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area within a line commencing on the line of mean high water of the Tasman Sea at a point in line with the junction of the left bank of the Waikato River and the sea coast and proceeding north-easterly generally along the boundary of the Franklin County to a point where the coast of the Firth of Thames joins the northernmost corner of Allotment 82, Kohcroa Parish, Block IV, Wharekawa Survey District; thence due east to a point on a line parallel to and distant 3 miles westerly from the line of mean low water of the eastern shores of the Firth of Thames and the adjacent islands; thence northerly generally along that parallel line to its intersection with the outer limit of the Territorial Sea (as shown on sea chart N.Z. 220) near Channel Island; thence north-westerly generally along the outer limit of the Territorial Sea to a point in line with the junction of the right bank of the Mangawhai Estuary with the sea coast in Block V, Mangawhai Survey District, and thence south-westerly along the boundary of Rodney County to a point where the Hakaru River joins the Toponui River, and thence westerly generally down the middle of the Toponui and Oruawharo Rivers and along the middle of the Kaipara Harbour and the Kaipara Entrance and south-westerly along a right line to the outer limit of the Territorial Sea (as shown on the aforesaid sea chart N.Z. 220); thence south-easterly generally along that outer limit to a point in line with the junction of the left bank of the Waikato River and the sea coast and thence north-westerly along that right line to the point of commencement.
