PURSUANT to section 43 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964 (as amended by section 2 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Amendment Act 1971), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby reappoints the members from time to time of Messrs Hutchison, Hull and Company and Messrs Clark, Menzies and Company, chartered accountants, to be the auditors of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand for a term of 2 years commencing on the 1st day of July 1979.

Appointment of High Commissioner for New Zealand in Tonga

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased to appoint

Rodney James Gates

to be High Commissioner for New Zealand in Tonga under and for the purposes of the Foreign Affairs Act 1943, to hold the said office as on and from the 16th day of June 1979 until the 15th day of June 1981.

Appointing Member of the Engineering Associates Registration Board and his Deputy

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Engineering Associates Act 1961, the Minister of Works and Development hereby appoints

Harold Bernard Martin, retired,

as a member of the board and Alan George Cuthbert, as Mr Martin’s deputy; on the nomination of the New Zealand Institute of Electricians (Incorporated).

The appointments are for a term of 2 years from the date of appointment.

Appointment of Member to the Southland Land Valuation Tribunal

PURSUANT to section 19 of the Land Valuation Proceedings Act 1948, as substituted by section 2 of the Land Valuation Proceedings Amendment Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

of Invercargill, to be a member of the Southland Land Valuation Tribunal for a term of 6 years on and from the date hereof.
