Cancellation of the Vesting in the Pohangina County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Pohangina County Council and revokes the reservation as a reserve for local purpose (rubbish dump), described in the Schedule hereto.

Classification of Reserve and Declaration that the Reserve be Part of the Duvauchelle Recreation Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, declares the said reserve to form part of the Duvauchelle Recreation Reserve to be administered by the Duvauchelle Reserve Board.

SCHEDULE

Canterbury Land District—Akaroa County

8376 square metres, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 39716, situated in Block XV, Pigeon Bay Survey District. All certificate of title 18F/788.

Declaration that Land is a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Whakatane District Council on the 25th day of July 1979:

"That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Whakatane District Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said district in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby declared to be a reserve for recreation purposes within the meaning of the said Act."

SCHEDULE

South Auckland Land District—Whakatane District

3.2850 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. S. 10211, being part Allotment 124, Matata Parish, situated in Block X, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District. All certificate of title, No. 6B/250.

Exemption of Certain Motor Cycles from the Requirements to be Fitted with Direction Indicated Lamps

Pursuant to subclause (2) of regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulation 63 of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

Model motor cycle: Kawasaki KV75.

Approval of Safety Glass

Pursuant to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of subclause (5) of regulation 73 of the said regulations, safety glass of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Coated glass for use in roof panels manufactured by Pittsburg Plate Glass and bearing the marking "PPG Solarcool" and the marking of the United States Department of Transportation "AS 3" and "DOT 18".

Approval of Rearward Facing Flashing Red Lights on Fire Appliances

Pursuant to regulation 67 (8) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves the fitting of rearward facing flashing red lights, in addition to those lights specified in regulation 66, on any fire appliance operated or approved by the New Zealand Fire Service, subject to the following conditions:

(1) The lights shall be connected so as to function simultaneously with the flashing lights operated by a hazard switch; and
(2) The lights shall only be used while the vehicle is stationary and while on urgent fire-brigade service.

The Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 1, 1979

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (National Roads Board) Notice No. 1, 1979.

  2. The National Roads Board's proposed classification of the roads, as set out in the Schedule hereto, is hereby approved.

  3. It is hereby declared, as required by the National Roads Board, that the State highways as set out in the Schedule hereto shall belong to the class set out in the said Schedule.

  4. So much of the notices dated the 28th day of April 1977† and the 9th day of February 1978‡, which relate to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto, are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

Classified in Class One

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) from the eastern boundary of Waitara Borough (R.P. 218/3.39) to the north-western boundary of Patea Borough (R.P. 321/14.95).

No. 45 State Highway (New Plymouth - Hawera via Opunake).
