on 11 October 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Kawa Kawa Hotel, Te Araroa.
To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—Opening at 10 o’clock in the morning and closing at 8 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On any Friday, Saturday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.
The above hours of trading shall apply during the period from the 1st day of April to the 30th day of November (both days inclusive) in every year and the following hours of trading shall apply during the period from the 1st day of December to the 31st day of March (both days inclusive) in every year.
(c) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.
(d) On any Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(e) On New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s day.
It shall be a condition that a substantial meal be available from 9 o’clock in the evening on each evening when the premises are open for more than the usual 11 hours in any one day.

New Zealand-Australia Free Trade Agreement
Application for the Approval of Goods as Determined Imported Materials—Notice 1978/4
Notice is hereby given that application has been made to Australia for the approval of the goods, described in the Schedule hereto, as determined imported materials in accordance with Australian legislation relating to the rules governing the origin of goods “wholly manufactured”.
Any person wishing to lodge an objection to New Zealand supporting these applications should do so in writing on or before 22 November 1978. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of the goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to the quality, range, supply, etc., of the goods or suitable alternative goods produced in New Zealand.

The Motor Launch (Ngaruroro River) Notice 1978, Hawke’s Bay County Council
PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give the following notice:
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Ngaruroro River) Notice 1978.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette and shall remain in force until further notice in the Gazette.
- Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto shall be exempted from regulations 11 (b), 11 (c), and 12 (b) and 12 (c) of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 between sunrise and sunset for the term of this notice excepting during the first weekend of the duckshooting season and before the hour of 9 a.m. and after the hour of 4 p.m. during the subsequent weekends of such season.
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that area of water of the Ngaruroro River extending downstream from Chesterhope Bridge to a point marked with a noticeboard approximately 100 metres downstream from State Highway No. 2 Bridge.
SECOND SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

Suitable notices as may be approved by the district officer, Ministry of Transport, at Napier, shall be erected at the limits of the area described in the First Schedule to this notice.

Any person in charge of a vessel when proceeding at a speed greater than 5 miles per hour within the area as described in the First Schedule to this notice shall not approach, pass, or carry out any manoeuvre that is likely to threaten the safety of or cause undue annoyance to any other person using the water for fishing, boating, swimming or any other recreational pursuit.
