Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Marlborough County Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a reserve for recreation purposes and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Marlborough, in trust, for that purpose.

Fixing of Trigger Price for Wool (No. 1867; Ag. 3803)

PURSUANT to section 41 of the Wool Industry Act 1977, the Minister of Agriculture hereby fixes at 215 cents per kilogram (greasy) the trigger price in respect of all categories of wool (other than dag wool, slipe wool, fellmongered wool, and wool on the skin), produced in New Zealand and that trigger price shall apply during the remainder of the 1977–78 wool selling season and shall continue until such time as a new trigger price is fixed.

Dear Sir,

In terms of the provisions of section 2A (1) (e) of the Commerce Act 1975, I hereby transmit to the Commerce Commission, the economic policy of the Government with respect to High Priority Activities, contained in the Financial Statement, House of Representatives, 21 July 1977, and the Financial Statement, House of Representatives, 28 October 1977. That policy, which provides for the encouragement of the growth of certain productive activities which make an outstanding contribution to the economic growth and the balance of payments, shall henceforth and until further notice, be one of those general objects by which the Commission and the Secretary shall be guided in the exercise of their powers and functions under Part IV of the Commerce Act 1975, in respect of any class or description of goods or services, the manufacture or supply of which, by any named manufacturer or other person, is designated for the time being by the Secretary and the Secretary to the Treasury, by notice in the Gazette, as a high priority activity.

Area in Which Owners of Cattle Shall Submit Their Cattle for Testing for Tuberculosis and Brucellosis (No. 1861 Ag. 6/2/1)

PURSUANT to section 53 (8) of the Animals Act 1967, it is hereby declared that: (a) all areas in the North Island and the South Island are areas in which every owner of cattle shall, as often as and in such manner as may be required by the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries, submit the cattle for testing for tuberculosis or brucellosis; (b) all previous notices issued pursuant to section 53 (8) of the Animals Act 1967 are hereby revoked.

Amendment to a Notice Notifying the Exchange of State Forest Land for Other Land

IN the heading of the Second Schedule of the notice “notifying the exchange of State forest land for other land”, dated the 2nd day of November 1977, and published in the Gazette, No. 112, of 3 November 1977, p. 2872, which exchanged 22.1089 hectares, more or less, of State forest land, for 9.3229 hectares, more or less, of other land, for “Woodville County”, read “Hutt County”.
