Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Auckland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing Committee, on 23 June 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Rising Sun Tavern, Auckland.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve), and Christmas Eve—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On New Year’s Eve—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

To the intent that on days other than those on which chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve), and Christmas Eve—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On New Year’s Eve—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Taranaki Licensing Committee, on 14 June 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the chartered club premises known as the Waitara District Services and Citizens Club Incorporated.

To the intent that on days other than those on which chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—the hours of opening and closing to be in accordance with the club charter.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) Adequate food is to be available for patrons until 10.45 o’clock in the evening.

Appointment of the Oroua County Council to Control and Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Director of Reserves of the Department of Lands and Survey hereby appoints the Oroua County Council to control and manage the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for recreation purposes.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—OROUA COUNTY

8.9435 hectares, more or less, being Section 1654 (formerly Section 1, Block I, Gorge Survey District), Town of Palmerston North, situated in Block III, Gorge Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1920, p. 1728. S.O. Plan 17393.

6.8138 hectares, more or less, being Section 1684 (formerly Section 463A, Block III, Gorge Survey District), Town of Palmerston North, situated in Block III, Gorge Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1901, p. 1023. S.O. Plan 14675.

(All three sections formerly under the control of the Ashhurst Domain Board).
