A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a parking place and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Devonport, as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 19th day of January 1978.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for the purposes of a recreation ground and vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington by a Proclamation dated the 10th day of April 1918, and published in New Zealand Gazette 18 April 1918, at page 1071; Now, therefore, pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the said land is hereby set apart as from the 19th day of January 1978 for street purposes.
