Notice Directing that the Kingston Cemetery be Closed and Management Thereof Vested in the Lake County Council in its Capacity as Kingston Domain Board

PURSUANT to section 41 of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, the Minister of Health hereby directs that the Kingston Cemetery, being the land described in the Schedule hereto, shall be closed and burials therein discontinued from and after the 30th day of September 1978; also hereby vests the control and management of the closed Kingston Cemetery in the Lake County Council, in its capacity as Kingston Domain Board as from the 30th day of September 1978.

Notice of Acquisition of Public Reserve by the Crown

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land, described in the Schedule hereto, has been acquired as a reserve for historic purposes, subject to the provisions of Part V of the said Act, to be known as the Pou-tu-Ote-Rangi Pa Historic Reserve.

Amending the Foreshore Licence Authorising Eastern Marina Services Ltd., to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Tamaki River at Panmure as a Site for a Wharf and Sheds, Boat Ramp, Pontoons and Floating Walkway, Slipway, 2 Fuel Pumps and Combined Ship Chandlery, Workshop and Office

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owca John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give notice that the licence of 20 September 1977*, authorising Eastern Marina Services Ltd. to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Tamaki River at Panmure, as a site for a wharf and sheds, boat ramp, pontoons and floating walkway, slipway, 2 fuel pumps and combined ship chandlery, workshop and office as shown on plan marked M.D. (N) 338, which incorporates plans M.D. 11193, M.D. 11702, M.D. 12375, is hereby amended by deleting the expression “Eastern Marina Services Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction)” and substituting the expression “Bryan Thomas Walden (hereinafter called the licensee,

which term shall include his administrators, executors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction)”, and the said licence is hereby further amended by deleting from condition 2 of the Schedule of Conditions the expression “5 years from the 1st day of February 1977” and substituting the expression “14 years from the 1st day of February 1977” and the said licence is hereby further amended by inserting after condition 6 of the Schedule of Conditions the following:

“7. The said structures shall be inspected every 5 years and the licensee shall promptly carry out such repairs and maintenance as are deemed necessary”.

The Motor Launch (Westland Rivers) Notice 1977

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby give the following notice.

NOTICE

1.(a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Westland Rivers) Notice 1978.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette.

  1. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulation 11 (a-d) of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 as to the limitation of speed, shall not apply to those rivers described in the First Schedule hereto.

  2. Notice is hereby given that the Motor Launch (Westland Rivers) Notice 1977**, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

  1. Cook River-Westland Land District: All the waters of the Cook River above tidal influence upstream to the bridge on State Highway No. 6 and excluding the Fox River.

  2. Grey River-Westland Land District: All the waters of the Grey River and its tributaries from its source to its confluence with Ometumutu Creek excepting thereout the waters of the Arnold River.

  3. Hokitika River-Westland Land District: All the waters of the Hokitika River above tidal influence.

  4. Karangarua River-Westland Land District: All the waters of the Karangarua River and its tributaries above tidal influence upstream to its confluence with the Copland River.

  5. New River-Westland Land District: All the waters of New River above tidal influence.

  6. Poerua River-Westland Land District: All the waters of the Poerua River above tidal influence.

  7. Taramakau River-Westland Land District: All the waters of the Taramakau River and its tributaries above tidal influence.

  8. Waiatoto River-Westland Land District: All the waters of the Waiatoto River above tidal influence.

  9. Waitaha River-Westland Land District: All the waters of the Waitaha River and its tributaries above tidal influence.

  10. Wanganui River-Westland Land District: All the waters of the Wanganui River above tidal influence.

  11. Whataroa River-Westland Land District: All waters including tributaries above tidal influence.

  12. Paringa River-Westland Land District: All waters including tributaries above tidal influence, excepting the Hall River.

  13. Moeraki River-Westland Land District: All waters above tidal influence.

  14. Haast River-Westland Land District: All waters including tributaries above tidal influence upstream to Clarke Bluff.

  15. Arawata River-Westland Land District: All waters including tributaries above tidal influence.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. The provisions of the General Harbour (Nautical and Miscellaneous) Regulations 1968 (1968/239) shall, so far as applicable, apply at all times.
