Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Motueka Borough Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Motueka, in trust, for that purpose.

Notice to Amend the Definition of a Transferable Certificate of Deposit

PURSUANT to section 2 of the Stamp and Cheque Duties Act 1971, as amended by subsection 2 (2) of the Stamp and Cheque Duties Amendment Act 1972, the Minister of Finance hereby gives notice that as from the 31st day of March 1978, and until further notice the sum for a transferable certificate of deposit shall not be less than $12,000 and the term for such a certificate shall not be less than 30 days.

Assignment of a Consent to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby assigns to Sidney Gordon Hurst and Jacqueline Wendy Hurst, farmers, of Pentland Hills, a consent dated 4 March 1970, authorising John Allan Hurst, farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity (New Zealand Gazette, 9 April 1970, p. 590).

Consenting to the Assignment of a licence to Erect and Use Electric Lines

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby assigns to Sidney Gordon Hurst and Jacqueline Wendy Hurst, a licence dated 23 February 1970, authorising John Allan Hurst, to lay, construct, put up, place and use electric lines. (Gazette, 19 March 1970, p. 466).

The Traffic (Matamata County) Notice No. 1 1978

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Matamata County) Notice No. 1, 1978.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The Traffic (Matamata County) Notice No. 1, 1976 dated the 11th day of November 1976* under Section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Matamata County at Waharoa, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Matamata County at Waharoa: No. 27 State Highway (Mangaturata-Tirau): from a point 75 metres measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Walker Street to a point 250 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from McGowan Street.

Notice Directing That Morrinsville Cemetery be Closed and Management Thereof Vested in the Morrinsville Borough Council and the Piako County Council

PURSUANT to section 41 of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, the Minister of Health hereby directs that the Morrinsville Cemetery, being the land described in the Schedule hereto, shall be closed and burials therein discontinued from and after the 30th day of September 1978; also hereby vests the control and management of the closed Morrinsville Cemetery in the Morrinsville Borough Council and the Piako County Council as from the 30th day of September 1978.
