Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highway

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the
National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of
the Minister of Works and Development hereby gives notice
that it varies the notice declaring public highways to be State
Highways, dated 9 March 1960, published in the Gazette,
24 March, 1960, Volume I, p. 384, by adding to the Schedule
to the said notice the paragraph described in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that public highway previously described as Part Section
59, Part Section 54 and Part lot 9, D.P. 1765, being Part
Section 55; all in Block 8, Waihola Survey District, and
shown on S.O. 17863, as State Highway and to form a con-
tiguous part No. 1 State Highway.

Revoking Declaration of State Highway and Declaring Public
Highway to be State Highway

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the
National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of
the Minister of Works and Development, hereby gives notice
that the notice dated 7 July 1966, published in Gazette No.
42, 14 July, 1966, p. 1106, is hereby revoked insofar as it
affects the portion of State Highway described in the First
Schedule hereto; and that the public highway described in the
Second Schedule hereto is declared to be State Highway with-
in the meaning and for the purposes, of the National Roads
Act 1953.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ROADS Council District No. 2A: Franklin County: No. 1
State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): That portion of Highway
named the Great South Road, commencing at a point approxi-
mately 550 metres south of the Drury Rail Overbridge and
proceeding in a southerly direction generally for a distance of
approximately 8 kilometres and terminating approximately
200 metres south of the junction with the entrance road to
St. Stephens College.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ROADS Council District No. 2A: No. 1 State Highway
(Awanui-Bluff)—The road deviation commencing approxi-
mately 550 metres south of the Drury Rail Overbridge and
proceeding in a south-easterly direction under Ararimu Road,
then proceeding in a southerly direction generally for a dis-
tance of approximately 8 metres and terminating at No. 1
State Highway approximately 250 metres south of the junction
with the Great South Road at St Stephens.

National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration
of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

REFERRING to State Highway 3, Spicers Road, Otorohanga to
Mangapu Bridge section, as more particularly shown on
sheets 1 to 5 of Plan M.O.W. 17070 and the accompanying
schedule, held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry
of Works and Development, Te Kuiti, and there available for
public inspection; It is notified that the National Roads
Board, by resolution dated 15 February 1978, and pursuant to
subsection (5) of Section 4 of the Public Works Amend-
ment Act 1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 28 April
1971*, made pursuant to the said Section 4, insofar as it
affects that part of the limited access road declaration of the
said State Highway for its full width commencing at the
junction point of the northern boundary of Pukeroa-Hanga-
tiki Block 5B2C1A (CT1442/30) with the road boundary and
extending southwards for 800 metres.

National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration
of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

REFERRING to State Highway 50, Pakowhai Road to Ngaru-
roro River section, as more particularly shown on sheets 1
to 4 of Plan M.O.W. 36245, and accompanying schedule, held
in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and
Development, Napier, and there available for public inspec-
tion; It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolu-
tion dated 15 February 1978, and pursuant to subsection (5)
of Section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963,
hereby revokes its resolution dated 18 September 1974*,
made pursuant to the said Section 4, insofar as it affects that
part of the limited access road declaration of the said State
Highway for one half of its width on the southern side com-
mencing 135 metres east of the junction of the eastern
boundary of Part Lot 1, D.P. 2721, with the road boundary
and extending for 25 metres westward.

REFERRING to State Highway 3, Tokanui to Otorohanga sec-
tion, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 15 inclusive
of Plan M.O.W. 15887, and accompanying schedule, held in
the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and
Development, Te Kuiti, and there available for public inspec-
tion; It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolu-
tion dated 15 February 1978, and pursuant to subsection (5)
of Section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963,
hereby revokes its resolution dated 10 December 1969*, made
pursuant to the said Section 4, insofar as it affects that part
of the limited access road declaration of the said State High-
way for a width of 13 metres on the eastern side commencing
at the junction of the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.S.
11057 (C.T. 7D/481) with the road boundary and extending
southwards for total frontage of the said Lot 1.

section, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 12 inclusive
of Plan L.A. 21/74/1 and accompanying schedule held in
the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and
Development, Paeroa, and there available for public inspec-
tion; It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolu-
tion dated 15 February 1978, and pursuant to subsection (5)
of Section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963,
hereby revokes its resolution dated 19 October 1977*, made
pursuant to the said Section 4, insofar as it affects that part
of the limited access road declaration of the said State High-
way for a width of 13 metres on the southern side com-
mencing at the junction point of the western boundary of
Lot 4, D.P. S. 2579 (C.T. 1204/273) and the road boundary
and extending eastwards across the frontage of the said Lot 4.
