Riding Boundaries

PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the
Secretary for Local Government hereby publishes the following
Special Order made by the Eyre County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

"That the resolution passed at the meeting of 7 March 1977,
resolving to alter riding boundaries, in accordance with
section 23 of the Counties Act 1956, be confirmed as
follows:

'That the boundaries of the West Eyreton Riding
be altered by way of Special Order to be the same
as for the West Eyreton Community District, namely,
the present West Eyreton Riding together with the
area of land in the Eyreton Riding, west of Kennedy's
Road from Rangiora County Boundary to Woodfields
Road (previously Oxford-Ohoka Road) and west-
ward along Woodfields Road to Browns Road and
along Browns Road until it meets the boundary of
the West Eyreton Riding at Tram Road and as
shown on the attached plan.'

WEST EYRETON RIDING OF EYRE COUNTY

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, County of
Eyre, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle
of the Waimakariri River in line with the north-western side
of the road forming the south-eastern side of Rural Section
32083, Block IV, Hawkins Survey District, and proceeding
north-easterly to and along that road to the north-eastern
corner of the said Rural Section 32083; thence north-easterly
by a right line to Trig Station 48, Block XIII, Mairaki Survey
District, in the middle of Main Race Road; thence easterly
along the middle of that road to a point in line with the
south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 32211; thence north-
easterly to and along that boundary and the south-eastern
boundaries of Rural Sections 32641 and 30062 to the south-
western side of Eyre Road South; thence north-easterly by
a right line across Eyre Road South to and along the south-

middle line of Boundary Road, in line with the north-western
side of Kennedys Road, Block IX, Mairaki Survey District,
and proceeding south-easterly along the middle lines of
Boundary Road and Main Drain Road, and the production
of the last-mentioned road to the middle of Ohoka Stream;
thence easterly generally along the middle of that stream,
and the Kaiapoi River, to a point in line with the original
middle line of Revells Road; thence northerly along that line
to the north (left) bank of the Kaiapoi River; thence south-
easterly along that bank to the production of the middle line
of Hilton Street; thence south-easterly along that production
across Kaiapoi River, to its south (right) bank; thence
westerly along that bank to a point in line with the south-
eastern boundary of Lot 18, D.P. 19101; thence south-westerly
to (across Adderly Terrace, Railway Land, Fuller Street and
part Rural Section 321) and along that boundary and the
south-eastern boundaries of Lots 19-24 inclusive, and Lot
