(2) The electors of Mangaiti, Komata and Waihi
Beach Ridings shall each elect one councillor.
4. The alterations hereby made shall take effect at the next
general election of the council, viz, the 8th day of October
1977, except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary
for preparing any roll or otherwise providing for that
election.

SCHEDULE
MANGAITI RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District as
described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1956, page 1617.

WAIHI WEST RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District as
described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1965, page 1266.

PAEROA RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point in Block XII, Waihou Survey
District, being the confluence of the middle of the Waihou
River and the middle of the Komata Stream, and running
generally easterly up the middle of the Komata Stream afore-
said, to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 7,
Block X, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence along a right line,
to and generally north-easterly along the eastern boundary
of that Section 7 and the south-eastern boundary of Section 5,
Block X aforesaid, along the southern boundary of the State
forest as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1935, page 2736,
the south-western boundary of Section 19, Block X aforesaid
(State forest, New Zealand Gazette, 1938, page 277), the
western boundaries of parts Ohinemuri No. 20E, 20A3, and
20A1 Blocks (State forest, New Zealand Gazette, 1935, page
2736), the north-western boundary of Section 17, Block X
aforesaid (State forest, New Zealand Gazette, page 810),
to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of
the State forest described in New Zealand Gazette, 1920,
page 924; thence along a right line across a public road, to
and along the last-mentioned north-eastern boundary and
the generally western boundary of the last-mentioned area
of State forest; thence to the northernmost corner of Section
76, Block XIII, Ohinemuri Survey District (provisional
State Forest, New Zealand Gazette, 1927, page 928;) thence
generally southerly along the generally eastern boundaries
of Section 76, aforesaid, and Section 38, Block XIV,
Ohinemuri Survey District, and that last-mentioned boundary
produced to the middle of Rahu Road; thence generally
south-easterly along the middle line of that road to a point
in line with the eastern boundary of Section 62, Block II,
Aroha Survey District; thence due south along a right line
to the middle of the Ohinemuri River; thence down the
middle of that river to the eastern boundary of Block I,
Aroha Survey District, 4250 chains east of Trig Station
“Mount Eden”; thence southerly along the eastern boundary
of Block I. aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of Lot 1,
D.P. S. 9393; thence generally westerly along the generally
northern boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid, to the eastern boundary
of Section 24, Block I aforesaid; thence southerly, westerly,
and northerly along the eastern, southern, and western
boundaries of Section 24 aforesaid, crossing the intervening
Willow’s Road, to the easternmost corner of Pukemokemoke
1B 2B; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the
south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Pukemokemoke
1B 2B aforesaid, to and along a right line across a public
road, to and generally north-westerly along the generally
south-western boundaries of Pukemokemoke 1C, Mangamutu
3B 3D, and 3C, and generally westerly along the generally
southern boundaries of Mangamutu 4B, 2B, 2A 2, 2A 1,
part Mangamutu No. 1, and Lot 2, D.P. 34373, crossing the
intervening State Highway No. 26 and Frankton-Thames
Railway, to and along a right line being the last-mentioned
boundary produced to the middle of the Waihou River
situated in Block IV, Waitoa Survey District, being a point
on the boundary of the Ohinemuri County as described
in New Zealand Gazette, 1954, page 1307; thence generally
northerly along that boundary to the point of commencement,
and excluding therefrom the Borough of Paeroa as described
in New Zealand Gazette, 1925, page 570.

WAIHI BEACH RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point on the shores of the
Tasman Sea in Block III, Waihi North Survey District, being
the south-eastern corner of Waihi No. 2 Block (area of
23 acres and 2 roods forming part of the Orokawa Domain,
New Zealand Gazette, 1941, page 2019, as shown on S.O.
Plan 30596) and running southerly along those shores which

form the eastern boundary of the Ohinemuri County, to and
along the southern boundary of that county as described
in New Zealand Gazette, No. 49, of the 12th day of August
1954, page 1306, to the south-western boundary corner of
part Lot 1, D.P. S. 20493; thence north-westerly along the
south-western boundary of part Lot 1 aforesaid to the
southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. S. 22264; thence westerly
along the southern boundary of Lot 2 aforesaid; thence
northerly along the western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. S.
22264; thence north-westerly along the south-westerly boun-
daries of Lots 5 and 6, D.P. S. 22264, and Lots 80, 81, and 82,
D.P. 37325 to the western boundary corner of Lot 82
aforesaid; thence north-westerly in a right line to the south-
western boundary corner of Lot 83, D.P. 37325; thence
north-westerly along the western boundaries of Lots 83,
84, 85, 86, 87, D.P. 37325, to the western boundary corner
of Lot 87 aforesaid; thence south-westerly and north-westerly
along the boundaries of Farm Road to the southern boundary
corner of Lot 1, D.P. 37325; thence north-westerly along the
western boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid to the western boundary
corner of Lot 1 aforesaid, thence north-westerly along the
western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. S. 13931, and that line
produced to the northern side of Waihi Beach Main Road;
thence generally north-easterly along the western boundary
of the said road to the southern boundary corner of Lot 1,
D.P. S. 18519; thence northerly along the western boundary
of Lot 1 aforesaid to the north-western corner of Lot 1
aforesaid; thence north-westerly in a right line to the
southern boundary corner of Lot 27, D.P. S. 18820; thence
north-westerly along the western boundaries of Lots 27, 26,
25, 24, 23, 22, D.P. S. 18820; Lots 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15,
D.P. S. 18819, to and along the north-western boundary
of Lot 15, D.P. S. 18819; thence north-easterly across the
end of Mayorview Terrace (D.P. S. 18818) to and along
the south-western boundary of Lot 14, D.P. S. 18818; thence
north-westerly and northerly along the southern and western
boundaries of Lot 7, D.P. S. 18818; thence northerly along
the western boundary of Lot 6, D.P. S. 18818, to the south-
eastern boundary corner of Lot 29, D.P. S. 3842; thence
north-westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 29,
28, 25, 24, 22, 21, 20, 19, D.P. S. 3842, to the south-western
corner of Lot 19 aforesaid; thence northerly along the
western boundaries of Lots 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, D.P. S.
3842, to and along the northern boundary of Lot 14 afore-
said to and along the northern boundary of Oceanview
Road and that line produced to the northern edge of the
Waihi Stream; thence easterly along the northern bank of
the Waihi Stream to the eastern boundary of Lot 13, D.P. S.
3842; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Lot
13, aforesaid to the south-eastern boundary corner of part
Lot 1, D.P. S. 8637; thence northerly along the western
boundary of Lot 1, Block IV, D.P. 17197, to the southern
side of Pacific Road; thence generally westerly and northerly
along the southern and western boundary of right of way
marked ‘A’ on D.P. S. 23688, to the north-western boundary
of Lot 1, D.P. S. 23688; thence easterly along the northern
boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid and across the end of West
Street to the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 4255; thence
northerly along the western boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid;
thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of
Lot 1 aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern
boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid to the northern end of the
Esplanade; thence south-easterly across the end of the
Esplanade and that line produced to meet the boundary
between Waihi No. 2 and 3 Blocks; thence easterly to the
point of commencement.

WAIHI RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District
Ohinemuri County, commencing at the source of the Otahu
River, and proceeding generally north-easterly down the
middle of the said river to the sea; thence generally southerly
along the sea coast to and generally westerly and generally
south-easterly along the boundaries of the Waihi Beach
Riding as hereinbefore described, to and generally south-
westerly along the generally south-eastern boundary of the
Ohinemuri County as described in New Zealand Gazette,
1954, page 1307, to and generally north-westerly along the
generally north-eastern boundary of Waihi West Riding as
described in New Zealand Gazette, 1965, page 1266, to and
generally north-easterly and south-westerly along the generally
south-eastern and north-western boundaries of the Borough
of Waihi as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1954, page
1306, to and again generally north-westerly along the bound-
ary of the Waihi West Riding aforementioned, to and
generally northerly along the generally eastern boundary
of Komata Riding as hereinafter described, to and easterly
along the northern boundary of the hereinbefore mentioned
Ohinemuri County, to the point of commencement.
