ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Ellesmere County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the formation of a road; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the county council at Leeston and is there open for inspection. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land, should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation set forth such objection in writing, and send the same within forty (40) days of the first publication of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, Wellington. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SOUTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN THE CITY OF TIMARU FOR RIVER PROTECTION PURPOSES

NOTICE is hereby given that the South Canterbury Catchment Board proposes under the provisions of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and the Public Works Act 1928 to take for river protection purposes the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used as part of the diversion of the Washdyke Creek; and notice is further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the South Canterbury Catchment Board, Church Street, Timaru, and is there open for inspection. All persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CHANGE PURPOSE OF LAND HELD BY THE COUNCIL

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of section 20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952, that the Christchurch City Council proposes to change the purpose for which it holds the land, described in the Schedule hereto, from its present designation for housing purposes to its proposed designation for industrial purposes; and notice is hereby further given that any person objecting to the proposal to the change of purpose for which the land is so held, as above described, is required to lodge his objection in writing at the offices of the Christchurch City Council, Municipal Office Building, 194 Manchester Street, P.O. Box 237, Christchurch, not later than 40 days from the date of the publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE

All those pieces of land situated in the City of Christchurch containing 55 acres 2 roods 24.1 perches (22.5210 ha), or thereabouts, being Lots 1-5 and 7-9, Deposited Plan 18062, Lots 209-219 and Lots 224, 225, and part Lot 223, Deposited Plan 807, the same being described in Gazette notices 32656/1, 27121/1, 26587/1, 46068/1, 15A/1056 to 15A/1070, 125/290, 115/150, 183/0, 540/227, Canterbury Land District.

This land is bounded by Bexley Road and Wairoa Street with frontage to Everton Road and Anthony Road in the suburb at Bexley, Christchurch.

Copies of the scheme can be purchased from the Government Bookshop.

Any person or body interested has a right of objection to the provisional scheme and may give notice in writing to the commission of the objection and of the grounds of that objection on or before 12 October 1977.
