Insurance Companies Deposits Act 1953—Proposed Release of Deposits

THE Ocean Accident and Guarantee Corporation Limited has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on insurance business in New Zealand and proposes, pursuant to section 19 of the above-mentioned Act, to withdraw the deposits which have been made by it with the Public Trustee.

The Public Trustee therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 19 (3) of the above-mentioned Act, that being satisfied that the liabilities of the above-mentioned company in respect of the class of insurance designated as Class 4 in the First Schedule of the above-mentioned Act have been provided for, he proposes to release to the above-mentioned company on or after 20 September 1977 the deposit made by it in respect of Class 4 insurance business.

Any objections to the release of the deposit should be lodged with the Public Trustee, Lambton Quay, Wellington 1, on or before 15 September 1977.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Control of Wairua Estuary and Parts of the Foreshore Bylaw 1976 Revision of the Takapuna City Council and made by special order and passed and adopted at meetings of the said Council on 19 October 1976 and 16 November 1976.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Waitemata City Council Bylaw No. 9 1976—Beaches and Waters made by special order and passed and adopted at meetings of the said Council on 31 March 1977 and 28 April 1977.

Licensing the Grey County Council to Occupy Sites for a Slipway and Two Breakwaters at Moana, Lake Brunner

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, hereby license and permit the Grey County Council (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the bed of Lake Brunner as shown on plans marked M.D. (S) 113 and M.D. (S) 117 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Christchurch, for the purpose of maintaining thereon two breakwaters and a slipway respectively as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The licensee shall comply with all the conditions endorsed on plans M.D. (S) 113 and M.D. (S) 117, pursuant to section 178 of the Harbours Act 1950.

(3) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from 1st day of May 1977.

(4) The annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be 10 cents (10c) provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club Premises—Southland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Southland Licensing Committee on 25 July 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the chartered club premises known as the Invercargill Returned Services Association Incorporated Club, Invercargill:

(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, nor days when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being days when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—King Country Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the King Country Licensing Committee on 27 June 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as D.B. Turangi Motor Hotel, Turangi:

(a) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being New Year’s Eve nor days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the closing hour of the Sportsmen’s Bar, the Vista Bar, and the bottle store of the said hotel premises shall be 11 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the closing hour of the Sportsmen’s Bar, the Vista Bar, and the bottle store of the said hotel premises shall be 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day. Subject to the condition that a substantial supply of sandwiches and pies or other light refreshments is made available for all persons on the premises, together with tea or coffee, making facilities at a reasonable charge.
