Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club Premises—King Country Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the King Country Licensing Committee on 27 June 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the chartered club premises known as Taumarunui Cosmopolitan Club (Incorporated), Taumarunui:
(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve (nor days when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being days when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 12.30 o’clock on New Year’s Day morning. Subject to the condition that a substantial supply of sandwiches and pies or other light refreshments is made available for all persons on the premises, together with tea or coffee, making facilities at a reasonable charge.
(d) That, unless hereby expressly varied, the hour for the opening and closing of the licensed premises shall be the “usual hour”.

(b) That the closing hour of the premises for the sale of liquor to the members be varied to 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day (not being a day when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members). Subject to the condition that a substantial supply of sandwiches and pies or other light refreshments is available for all persons on the premises, together with tea or coffee, making facilities at a reasonable charge.

Prison Specified as a Place at which Controlled Drugs may be prescribed, administered, or supplied for the Purpose of Treating Persons Dependent on Controlled Drugs
NOTICE is hereby given that the Minister of Health, pursuant to regulation 24 (5) (b) of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1975, has specified Mount Crawford Prison as a place at which controlled drugs may be prescribed, administered, or supplied for the purpose of treating persons dependent on controlled drugs.

Medical Practitioner Specified as a Medical Practitioner who may prescribe, administer, or supply Controlled Drugs for the Purpose of Treating Persons Dependent on Controlled Drugs
NOTICE is hereby given that the Minister of Health, pursuant to regulation 24 (5) (a) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, has specified Michael Anthony Walsham Shepherd as a medical practitioner who may prescribe, administer, or supply controlled drugs for the purpose of treating persons dependent on controlled drugs.

Notice Redefining the Purpose for which a Maori Reservation is Set Apart
WHEREAS by Order in Council, dated 4 August 1965, published in Gazette, No. 44, 12 August 1965, page 1287, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place and community centre for the common use and benefit of members of the Ngati Umutahi tribe.
And Whereas it is proposed to redefine the purpose for which the Maori reservation was set apart.
Now, Therefore, pursuant to section 439 (5) (c) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, notice is hereby given as follows:
NOTICE
The purpose for which the Maori reservation, constituted by Order in Council dated 4 August 1965, published in Gazette, No. 44, 12 August 1965, page 1287, and described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby redefined as being for the purpose of a marae and burial ground.
