THE Local Government Commission has prepared a provisional scheme constituting the Bay of Plenty region. Copies of the provisional scheme and an explanatory statement are available for inspection at this office and the offices of the following local authorities: Tauranga City Council, Tauranga County Council, Tauranga; Whakatane District Council, Whakatane; Rotorua Borough Council, Rotorua; Mount Maunganui Borough Council, Mount Maunganui; Kawerau Borough Council, Kawerau; Murupara Borough Council, Murupara; and Te Puke Borough Council, Te Puke. Copies of the scheme can be purchased from the Government bookshop.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER INCREASING REPRESENTATION

THE Blenheim Borough Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and all other powers in that behalf enabling, has resolved and confirmed by way of special order to increase the representation of its council to eleven councillors.

THAMES-COROMANDEL DISTRICT COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956, and the Public Works Act 1928:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Thames-Coromandel District Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, to lay out a road now known as McQuoids Road, Coromandel, off Tiki Road, Coromandel; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the General Manager to the said council, situate in Mary Street, Thames, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land, who have any objections to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing.

not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of the notice to the Secretary, Town and Country Planning Appeal Boards Tribunal Division, Postal Centre, Wellington. If any such objection is made a public hearing

ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER: CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special order resolution was passed at a meeting of the One Tree Hill Borough Council held on Tuesday, the 21st day of June 1977, and confirmed at a meeting of the One Tree Hill Borough Council, held in the Council Chambers at 5 p.m., on Tuesday, 19 July 1977, having meantime been advertised in the Auckland Star and New Zealand Herald on the 9th day of July, 1977.

RESOLUTION

Passed at Meeting held on 21 June 1977:

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, and amended by section 13 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1974, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, that instead of levying the special rates specified in the First and Second Schedules hereto to make uniform consolidated special rates set out in paragraphs (a) and (b) hereunder:

(a) A uniform consolidated special (No. 1) rate of one decimal nought two five four (1.0254) cents in the dollar ($1) upon the annual rateable value of all rateable property within the borough of One Tree Hill is hereby made an annually recurring rate for the purpose of paying the annual charges plus ten percent (10%) thereof, payable in respect of the loans secured by the special rates set out in the first schedule.

(b) A uniform consolidated special (No. 2) rate of decimal three eight (0.38) cents in the dollar ($1) upon the annual rateable value of all rateable property within the No. 3 special rating area (Penrose) constituted for the said special rating area as more particularly defined in the authenticated special rating list for that area, is hereby made an annually recurring rate for the purpose of paying the annual charges plus ten percent (10%) thereof, payable in respect of the loans secured by those special rates set out in the Second Schedule.

And the One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby further resolves that the consolidated special rates set out above shall be payable in one sum on the first day of April in each year at the council office, 272 Manukau Road, Epsom, to Brian William Archer, or at such other place, or to such other person for the time being authorised by council.
