The Traffic (Manawatu County) Notice No. 1, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Manawatu County) Notice No. 1, 1977.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The Traffic (Manawatu County) Notice, No. 1, 1975, dated the 23rd day of May 1975*, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, which relates to roads situated within Manawatu County at Sanson, Rongotea, Foxton Beach, and Himatangi Beach, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Manawatu County at Sanson:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 260 metres measured southerly generally along the said highway from Cemetery Road to a point 720 metres measured westerly generally along the said highway from Cemetery Road.

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth): from Cemetery Road to a point 340 metres measured easterly generally along the said highway from the said road.

The Traffic (Wanganui City and Waitotara County) Notice No. 1, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Wanganui City and Waitotara County) Notice No. 1, 1977.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

  5. The Traffic (Wanganui City) Notice No. 1, 1976†, dated the 9th day of June 1976, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Wanganui City and Waitotara County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Wanganui City:

Brunswick Road: from the north-western boundary of Wanganui City to a point 450 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Weka Street.

Kaikokopu Road: from the north-western boundary of Wanganui City to a point 400 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Ward Street.

Mosston Road: from a point 50 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said road from Lee Street to the north-western boundary of Wanganui City.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waitotara County adjacent to Wanganui City:

Virginia Road: from a point 40 metres measured westerly generally along Virginia Road from the north-western boundary of Wanganui City to the said boundary.

SITUATED within Wanganui County adjacent to Wanganui City:

No. 2 Line: from the eastern boundary of Wanganui City to a point 160 metres measured easterly generally along the said line from the said boundary
