PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as road the land described in the Schedule hereto which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashburton.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as service lane the land described in the Schedule hereto, which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Otorohanga.

Licensing Alan Roger Scott to Erect and Use Electric Lines
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby licenses Alan Roger Scott, of Kaimai, farmer, subject to the following conditions, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS

This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations.

The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraph (c) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, and shall be an alternating current system.

This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the expiration of a period of 21 years from the date hereof.
SCHEDULE
ELECTRIC lines commencing from the licensee’s powerhouse situated in Kaimai 1C, D.P. 14088, Block IX, Otanewainuku Survey District, proceeding in a north-easterly direction crossing the Frankham Road to the licensee’s homestead situated in Kaimai Part V, D.P. 14088, Block V, Otanewainuku Survey District. All being in the County of Tauranga as shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 923 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department, Wellington,

Consent to the Generation of Electricity by Alan Roger Scott by the Use of Water
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby consents to the generation of electricity by Alan Roger Scott, of Kaimai, by the use of water, subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS

The conditions directed by the Water Power Regulations 1934 to be implied in every licence to use water for the purpose of generating or storing electricity shall be deemed to be conditions of this consent as if it were such a licence.

This consent is subject to compliance with the Water Power Regulations 1934, the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations hereafter made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations, as if in the case of the Water Power Regulations 1934 it were a licence under the Public Works Act 1928 to use water for the purpose of generating electricity as well as a consent under the Electricity Act 1968 to generate electricity by the use of water.

The generation of electricity by the use of water pursuant to this consent shall be carried out by means of the works described in the Schedule hereto.

This consent shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1997.

This consent confers no rights to water under the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967 or otherwise.

For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this consent, the maximum generating capacity of the plant at the date of this consent is 15 kVA.
SCHEDULE
GENERAL descriptions of works:
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake on the Mangaonui Stream with a water race and pipeline leading to the powerhouse, giving a static head of approximately 45.7 metres.
(b) A Pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity.
(c) A tail race leading from the powerhouse back to the Mangaonui Stream.
As shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 923 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation, for the purpose of a burial ground and common, for the support of the Omarumutu Marae, for the common use and benefit of the Whakatohea Hapu of Ngatirua and Ngatingahere.
