Licensing Lake Taupo Marina Ltd. to Occupy Sites for Jetties
Slipways and Mooring Piles at Lake Taupo

Pursuant to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit Lake Taupo Marina Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Waikato River at Taupo, as shown on plan marked M.D. 14397 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Auckland, for the purpose of maintaining thereon jetties, slipways, and mooring piles, coloured red and yellow on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto. The licences of 8 June 1964* and 25 January 1966+ authorising Jack Taylor and Sons Ltd. to occupy parts of the foreshore and beds of the Waikato River and Lake Taupo are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of August 1976.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be forty-five dollars ($45) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be eight hundred dollars ($800); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

Licensing Owhiro Bay Quarries Ltd. to Occupy a Site for Shingle Washing Operations in Cook Strait

Pursuant to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit Owhiro Bay Quarries Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea in Cook Strait, as shown on plan marked M.D. 15233 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the purpose of shingle washing operations, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 5 years from the first day of April 1977.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be fifteen dollars ($15) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be one hundred and fifty dollars ($150); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

  4. There shall be erected at the two landward extremities of the shingle washing area two marker posts painted white showing the limits of the area in such use.

  5. The licensee shall conduct the shingle washing operations in such a manner as not to cause damage to the roadway and the public shall have access to the road or way along the foreshore.

Licensing the Bay of Islands County Council to Occupy a Site for a Boat Ramp at Te Haumi

Pursuant to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit the Bay of Islands County Council (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Te Haumi River, as shown on plan marked M.D. (N) 179 and deposited in the Office of the Ministry of Transport at Auckland, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a boat ramp as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of January 1977.

  3. The annual sum payable by the licensee shall be 10 cents ($0.10) payable on demand; provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

Exemption of Certain Motor Vehicles from the Height Restriction for Stop Lamps

Pursuant to regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts motor vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulation 61 (2) (a) which limits the height that a stop lamp may be mounted above the ground.

SCHEDULE

Any heavy motor vehicle being a passenger-service vehicle and first registered before the commencement of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

Exemption for Heavy Motor Vehicles From Requirement to have Lights Fitted on Cab Roof

Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts that class of motor vehicles specified in regulation 64 (2) of the said regulations from the requirements of that regulation, namely, to have fitted 4 forward-facing, evenly-spaced lamps which, when lit, display lights substantially amber in colour subject to the condition that this exemption shall only apply until the 1st day of August 1977.

Exemption of Certain Motor Cycles from Requirements as to Direction Indicator Lamps

Pursuant to regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976* the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts vehicles of the types specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulation 63 of the said regulations.
