Notice of Acquisition of Public Reserve by the Crown

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land, described in the Schedule hereto, has been acquired as a reserve for recreation purposes, subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act.

Setting Aside Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

New Zealand Dairy Board—Notice of Election of Members for South Auckland, Southern, and Taranaki Wards

I, Jack Lionel Wright, Returning Officer, appointed under section 10 of the Dairy Board Act 1961, do hereby give notice of a poll to elect a member for the South Auckland Ward and a member for the Taranaki Ward No. 2 on the New Zealand Dairy Board; and I do hereby give further notice that Wednesday, 20 April 1977, is the date on which the rolls of electors for these wards shall be closed; that the nominations of candidates for the election of one member for each of the said wards must be in my hands by noon on Wednesday, 18 May 1977; and that in the event of more than one candidate being nominated in any of the said wards, a poll will be held and such poll will be closed at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, 22 June 1977.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the Wairarapa South County (No. 1686 Ag. 12/10/4/2)

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for the purpose of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following special order made by the Wairarapa South County Council on 17 March 1977 is hereby published:

That the Wairarapa South County Council, pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, resolve by way of special order to declare Thorn-apple (Datura stramonium) a noxious weed within the district of Wairarapa South County and all such plants be deemed to be noxious weeds subject to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 within that district.

Meat Industry Authority Notice (No. 5 M.I.A. 3/8/1)

PURSUANT to section 6 (2) of the Meat Act 1964 (as inserted by section 4 of the Meat Amendment Act 1976), notice is hereby given that the Wallace County Council has been granted an exemption from the provisions of section 6 of the Meat Act 1964, requiring the following part of its district to be an inspected meat area:

That part of the district of Wallace County described as the Te Anau Basin, being bounded by the Key township, the Key-Redcliff road to its junction with the Waiau River at Redcliff, along the lower and upper Waiau Rivers and Lakes Manapouri and Te Anau to the county boundary at Mount Anau (including the townships of Manapouri and Te Anau) thence along the boundary to the headwaters of the Mararoa River and down the river back to the Key township.
