Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of Waitemata City, Rodney County and Henderson Borough

It is hereby notified that three petitions have been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the areas described in the Schedules hereto be excluded from the area of Waitemata City and be included in the area of Rodney County or, as in one petition, in the area of Henderson Borough. All persons affected who object to the proposed alterations of boundaries are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration with the Minister of Local Government, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, within 1 month from the date of publication of this notice.

FIRST SCHEDULE
AREAS to be excluded from Waitemata City and included in Rodney County - Henderson Valley area petition:

All that area containing 2900 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-eastern side of Mountain Road and the eastern side of Waitakere Scenic Drive in Block I, Titirangi Survey District, and proceeding northerly generally along that eastern side of Waitakere Scenic Drive to the westernmost corner of that part Allotment W. 87, Waitakere Parish, on the northern side of Waitakere Scenic Drive in Block II, Waitakere Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line across Waitakere Scenic Drive to and along the north-eastern side of Allotment S. 184, Waipareira Parish, along a right line across Te Henga Road to the southernmost corner of Lot 15, D.P. 40874, in Block XII, Kumcu Survey District; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of Te Henga Road to its intersection with the south-eastern side of Bethells Road, thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Bethells Road to and westerly down the middle of the Waitakere River to the middle of North Auckland Railway, to and along the southern boundary of that railway, as shown on S.O. Plan 4263, to its intersection with the western side of Swanson West Coast Road, as shown on S.O. Plan 41201; thence easterly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Allotment 536, Waipareira Parish, and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that allotment to and along the southern boundaries of the North Auckland Railway, shown on S.O. Plan 2914, to and along the northern side of Tram Valley Road to the eastern end of a road side bearing 87° 11', shown on S.O. Plan 30099; thence easterly along a right line to the northern corner of Allotment 121, Waipareira Parish, due south of Lot 13, D.P. 2503, and easterly along the southern side of Candra Road to and along the north-eastern side of Henderson Valley Road, and that last roadside produced to and easterly along the southern side of Henderson Valley Road to and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lot 2, L.T. 76151, to a point in Block II, Titirangi Survey District, in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, L.T. 76151; thence south-westerly generally along a right line to and along that south-eastern boundary, to and along the north-western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 25376, Lot 2, D.P. 49129, Lot 1, D.P. 78469, Lot 1, D.P. 53875, along the north-western and northern boundaries of Lot 3 and north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 1266, the north-western and south-western boundaries of Lot 4, D.P. 10077, in Block I, Titirangi Survey District, to and along the north-western and western boundaries of Lot 45, D.P. 15765, and along the southern boundaries of Lots 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 49, to the southernmost corner of that Lot 49; thence north-westerly generally along the south-western boundaries of Lots 49, and 34, the end of Opanuku Road, and Lot 41, all the afore-mentioned lots being of D.P. 15765, and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Allotment 7A, Waipareira Parish, to and along the northern side of Tawari Road, to and along the north-eastern, and north-western boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 61234, the generally northern boundaries of Allotment 110, Waipareira Parish, to and along the south-eastern side of Mountain Road to the point of commencement.

All that area bounded on the north-west by Rodney County, on the north-east by the North Auckland Railway, on the east by Candra Road, on the south by a boundary one property depth from Henderson Valley Road and Opanuku Road, including all roads connected to both Henderson Valley and Opanuku Roads, and bounded on the west by Waitakere Scenic Drive.

SECOND SCHEDULE
AREA to be excluded from Waitemata City and included in Rodney County - Bethells Beach area petition:

All that area in the North Auckland Land District; City of Waitemata, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the line of mean high water of the Tasman Sea and the middle of the Waitakere River in Block I, Waitakere Survey District, and proceeding southerly generally along that line of mean high water of the Tasman Sea to the junction with the middle of the Anawhata Stream; thence northerly and easterly up the middle of the Anawhata Stream to a point in line with the middle of the Public Road forming the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, Land Transfer Plan 61386, and Allotments Part S.W. 41, N.E. 41, 93, 40, and 153, Waitakere Parish, and the Public Road forming the south-western boundaries of Allotments N.W. 48, S.W. 48, N. 49, and S. 49, Waitakere Parish, in Block II, Waitakere Survey District; thence easterly along a right line to and along that middle line of that Allotment 103 and the last boundary produced to its junction with the eastern side of Waitakere Scenic Drive to the westernmost corner of that part Allotment W. 87, Waitakere Parish, on the northern side of Waitakere Scenic Drive in Block II, Waitakere Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line across Waitakere Scenic Drive to and along the north-eastern side of a public road forming the south-western boundaries of Allotment S. 184, Waipareira Parish, along a right line across Te Henga Road to its junction with the south-eastern side of Bethells Road; thence north-easterly along that south-eastern side of Bethells Road to and westerly down the middle of the Waitakere River to the middle of Bethells Road; thence westerly along the boundary of Rodney County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1974, p. 1513, to the point of commencement.

THIRD SCHEDULE
AREAS to be excluded from Waitemata City and included in Henderson Borough - Sunnysvale area petition:

All that area in the North Auckland Land District; City of Waitemata, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the middle line of the Great North Road and the production easterly of the northern boundary of Lot 7, D.P. 62936, in Block II, Titirangi Survey District, and proceeding southerly along that middle line to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 7, D.P. 40930; thence south-westerly along a right line to and along that south-eastern boundary, and the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 8 and 9, D.P. 40930, Lots 24 and 26, D.P. 75153, to and south-easterly along the generally eastern boundaries of Allotment 687, Waikomiti Parish, to the northern side of Awaroa Road and along a right line perpendicular to the southern side of that road to and south-westerly along that southern side and the generally southern boundaries of Lots 5 and 7, D.P. 45245, Section 82, Waari Hamlet, the south-eastern end of Rangeview Road, along a right line across the North Auckland Railway to the easternmost corner of Section 90, Waari Hamlet, and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 98, Waari Hamlet, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of that stream to its intersection with the middle of the North Auckland Railway; thence northerly generally along the middle of the aforesaid railway to a point in line with the northern boundary of the Part Lot 11, Deeds Plan Whau 13, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 588, folio 309, being part Allotment 2, Waikomiti Parish; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the Borough of Henderson as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1957, p. 1294.
