Game That May be Hunted or Killed
Grey, shoveler (or spoonbill), and mallard duck
Paradise duck (High Country—those watersheds upstream from and lying west of a line joining points: (1) the Lake Coleridge Powerhouse on the Rakaia River at the Southern Boundary of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation District, (2) Woodstock on the Waimakariri River, (3) the junction of the South Branch with the Hurunui River, (4) Marble Point Quarry south of Hanmer at the Waiau River, (5) the junction of Palmer Stream with the Clarence River at the Northern Boundary of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation District
Low Country—that part of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation District excluding High Country areas described above).

Canada goose (in the Lake Ellesmere goose district, as defined in the Gazette, No. 21, p. 428, of 7 March 1974) — 7 May to 6 June 1977 incl.

Shooting hours: 6.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. except that during the period 7 May 1977 to 30 October 1977 inclusive and midnight 3 February 1978 to 2 April 1978 at midnight inclusive, Canada goose may be shot 24 hours per day.
Decoy limit: No limit.
Special Conditions
- No hut, mothole, stand, hide, shelter, maimai, boat, louvre, or cylinder or other contrivance shall be used for the hunting or killing of game in any part of Lake Ellesmere in which the water is of a greater depth than 60 centimetres, excepting such areas as may be decided upon by the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society.
- A licence issued, pursuant to this notification to hunt or kill game, shall entitle the holder thereof to hunt or kill game on that portion of the bank and bed of the Rakaia River which lies within the Ashburton Acclimatisation District, and on that portion of the bank and bed of the Conway River which lies within the Marlborough Acclimatisation District, during the period and subject, mutatis mutandis, to the conditions prescribed in this notification fixing an open season for game in those districts respectively.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of the intersection of Blake’s Road and Belfast Road; thence easterly generally along Belfast Road to its intersection with Crawfords Road; thence southerly along Crawfords Road, a distance of 2038 links to its intersection with an unnamed road; thence westerly a distance of 500 links along the unnamed road; thence southerly a distance of 50 links along the western boundary of the said unnamed road; thence easterly a distance of 1450 links along the northern boundary of Lots 5 and 6, Deposited Plan 593, to the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 6; thence southerly a distance of 1815 links along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 6 to the south-eastern boundary thereof; thence north-westerly along the southern boundary of the said Lot 6 and Lot 5, Deposited Plan 593, a distance of 2770 links to the north-western boundary of Lot 19, Deposited Plan 699; thence southerly a distance of 2021.4 links along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 19 to Radcliffe Road; thence westerly along Radcliffe Road to its intersection with Blake’s Road; thence northerly generally along Blake’s Road to its intersection with Belfast Road, the commencing point, being the property of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Co. Ltd., Belfast, and as may be further defined by the erection of white-painted posts.

All that area situated in Block XII, Rangiora S.D., containing by admeasurement 89 acres and 5.2 perches, more or less, being firstly, Lot 1, Deposited Plan 10458, being part Rural Section 1104, all certificate of title, Volume 440, folio 8; and secondly, parts Rural Sections 1104, 2693, and 22393, all certificate of title, Volume 440, folio 9, excepting thereout Lot 1, Deposited Plan 16992, being the property of Mr H. F. Barker, Woodend, and as may be further defined by the erection of white-painted posts.

Pukeko (except in the counties of Maniototo, Waihemo, and Waikouaiti, and in that area of land lying within the boundary of the Dunedin City; also the Otago peninsula and including all the tidal land and estuaries therein)

Special Conditions
No person shall use, or cause to be used, on any water within the district for the hunting or killing of game any fixed stand, pontoon, hide, maimai, or loo, except within the distance of 10 metres from the margin of such water in non-tidal waters, or from low-water mark in tidal waters or, where raupo abounds, 10 metres from the outside edge of such raupo.
