Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground and as a place of historical interest for the common use and benefit of the peoples of Tuhoe.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land, situated in Block XII, Ruatahuna Survey District, and described as follows:

586 3 32 Part Urewera A (Maungapohatu Mountain (237.5302 ha) Burial Reserve) as described in a Vesting Order of the Maori Land Court, dated 29 November 1976, and shown on plan 13648 held in Waiariki District of the Maori Land Court.

Maori Land Development Notice

WHEREAS by virtue of the notices referred to in the First Schedule hereto the lands described in those notices was declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, and whereas by reason of an amalgamation of titles it is considered necessary to replace the notices aforesaid; now, therefore, pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows.

N O T I C E

1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Hamilton 1977, No. 5.
2. The notices referred to in the First Schedule hereto are hereby revoked.
3. The Land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
