The Dargaville High School Board of Governors Notice 1977

PURSUANT to section 50 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Dargaville High School Board of Governors Notice 1977.
   (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of February 1977.

2. The Board of Governors of Dargaville High School shall be constituted as follows:
   (a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
   (b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
   (c) Five members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school;
   (d) One member appointed by the Dargaville Borough Council;
   (e) One member appointed by the Hobson County Council;
   (f) Not more than two members co-opted by the Board itself, if and when it thinks fit.

3. This notice is in substitution for the Dargaville High School Board of Governors Order 1954.

Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of Waimarino County and Ohakune and Raetihi Boroughs

It is hereby notified that three petitions have been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the areas described in the Schedules hereto be excluded from the Boroughs of Ohakune and Raetihi respectively and be included in the County of Waimarino.

All persons affected who object to the proposed alterations of boundaries are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration, with the Minister of Local Government, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, within one month from the date of publication of this notice.

FIRST SCHEDULE

AREA TO BE EXCLUDED FROM OHAKUNE BOROUGH AND INCLUDED IN WAIMARINO COUNTY: S. D. WHALE PETITION

All that area in the Wellington Land District containing 83 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the boundary of the Borough of Ohakune as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1971, page 501, with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 5138, and proceeding north-westerly along that boundary to the south-eastern side of Ruapehu Street; thence generally south-westerly along that side to and along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 83, Block V, Karioi S.D., the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Mangateitei Stream, down the middle of that stream to the south-eastern side of Ruapehu Street, and along that side and its production to the southern side of No. 49 State Highway (Clyde Street); thence easterly and generally northerly along the boundaries of the Borough of Ohakune as described aforesaid to the point of commencement.
