(c) On every New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (not being
days when licensed premises are required to be
closed for the sale of liquor to the general public),
the hours of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the
morning of New Year's Eve and the hour of closing
0.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day but
during the period from 10 o'clock in the evening of
New Year's Eve to 0.30 o'clock in the morning of
New Year's Day, the said premises shall not be
open in respect of bars other than bars in the Bush
Inn Courts and “the Bottle Store”.

Licensing John Stanley Kirkman to Occupy a Site for a Jetty at Catlins River

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit John Stanley Kirkman (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Catlins River as shown on plan marked M.D. (S) 7, and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Christchurch, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of February 1977.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be forty dollars ($40) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be eighty dollars ($80); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

Licensing Takapuna City Council to Occupy a Site for a Wharf at Paremoremo, Waitemata Harbour

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit Takapuna City Council (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Paremoremo, Waitemata Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. (N) 317, and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Auckland, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a wharf as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto. The licence of 29 May 1973* authorising Waitemata County Council to occupy a site for a wharf and amended on 19 February 1976† by deleting the expression “Waitemata County Council” and substituting the expression “Takapuna City Council”, wherever it appears, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of June 1973.


(3) The annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be ten cents (10c) payable on demand; provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

PURSUANT to section 193 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Taranaki Freezing Works and Related Trades Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 2094, situated at Queen Street, Waitara, is hereby cancelled as from the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the Hokianga County Council (1643 Ag. 12/10/4/2)

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for the purpose of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Hokianga County Council doth hereby resolve to make a special order to declare the following plants to be noxious weeds within the county of Hokianga:

Tuscan (Hypericum androsaemum).
Winged thistle (Carduus tenuiflorus and Carduus pycnoccephalus).
Californian thistle (Cirsium arvense).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).

Approved Woolmarking Preparation (Notice No. 1641 Ag. 6/8/2/3)

Approval of Motor-Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of Traffic Regulations 1976

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves for the purpose of regulation 31 of the said regulations, motor-cycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Safety helmets manufactured by Everoak of England, and bearing the model identification Everoak and the certification mark of the British Standards Institute BS 2001.
