Land in the North Auckland Land District Acquired as State Forest Land

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act 1949, as State forest land.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY—BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY

Lot 1, D.P. 79551, being parts Old Land Claim 135, situated in Blocks X and XI, Russell Survey District; area, 314.1300 hectares, more or less, all certificate of title, Volume 36A, folio 622, of the North Auckland Registry.

As shown on plan N. 16/11, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

Notice Declaring Lands to be Infected Areas under Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974 (No. 1598 Ag. 61422)

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (1) of the Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974, notice is hereby given that the following lands are declared to be infected areas:

(a) The land on which potato cyst nematode has been found

(i) An area of 23.1973 hectares, more or less, situated west of and adjoining Tuakau Road, Pukekohe, and bounded to the north by Woodlands Road, Pukekohe, being Lot 1, D.P. 76716, and being part Allotment 47, Parish of Pukekohe, C.T. 32D/1448 (North Auckland Registry).

(b) Other land within a radius of 80 kilometres of the land described in paragraph (a) above being

(i) An area of 3 acres 1 rood 22 perches, more or less, situated south of and adjoining Tuakau Road, Pukekohe, being Part Allotment 80, D.P. 76716, Parish of Pukekohe, C.T. 93/282 (Auckland Registry).

(ii) An area of 9 acres and 10 perches, more or less, north-east of and adjoining Jutland Road and bounded to the south by Victoria Street, Pukekohe, being Allotment 21 and Part Allotment 20, D.P. 76716, Parish of Pukekohe, C.T. 777/191 (Auckland Registry).

(iii) An area of 1 rood, more or less, situated north-west of and adjoining Victoria Street, Pukekohe, being Part Allotment 20, Sub. Sect. 1, Parish of Pukekohe, C.T. 777/190 (Auckland Registry).

The Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1977, No. 1

PURSUANT to the Overseas Investment Regulations 1974*, hereinafter referred to as the regulations, the Overseas Investment Commission hereby gives the following exemption.

NOTICE

1. Title—This notice may be cited as the Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1977, No. 1.

2. Exemption of transactions of certain overseas persons from the regulations—Every person that is a company within the meaning of the Companies Act 1955, and is an overseas person within the meaning of regulation 2 (1) of the regulations but which would not be an overseas person if the shares in the company registered in the names of any of the persons mentioned in the Schedule hereto were held by persons who are not overseas persons except where the company in question is a subsidiary as defined in regulation 2 (2) of the regulations of one of the persons mentioned in the Schedule hereto, is hereby exempted from the application of the provisions of regulations 4 and 5 (2) in Part I and all of the provisions of Parts II and III of the regulations.

3. Exemption from regulation 3 (I) (a) of certain borrowings outside New Zealand—Every person being a body corporate incorporated in New Zealand or being an unincorporated body of persons (other than a partnership in which none of the partners is a body corporate incorporated in New Zealand) carrying on business in New Zealand or any person acting as a nominee for or on behalf of any such body corporate or unincorporated body is hereby exempted from the provisions of regulation 3 (I) (a) of the regulations in respect of borrowings for a term not exceeding a total of 12 months where the moneys borrowed are used exclusively for the purpose of financing the export of goods from New Zealand or the import of goods into New Zealand by the borrower.

4. Revocation—The following notice is hereby revoked:
   The Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1976, No. 2 (New Zealand Gazette, 11 November 1976, No. 115, p. 2554).
