NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter
of the WELLINGTON REGIONAL WATER BOARD
ACT 1972:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington Regional Water
Board, a board duly constituted under the provisions of the
Wellington Regional Water Board Act 1972, and being a local
authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928,
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts
and under the provisions of all other Acts, and by all other
powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute
a public work, namely river control, and for the purpose of
such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken and lodged in the office of the
Chief Surveyor, Department of Lands and Survey, at Well-
ington, and there numbered Survey Office Plan No. 25767, is
exhibited at the offices of the board, M.E.D. Building, 40-44
Cuba Street, Wellington; and it is there available for inspection
by all persons without fee during ordinary office hours. All
persons who are affected by the execution of the said public
work, or by the taking of the said lands and who have any
objection to the execution of the said public work, or to the
taking of the said lands or any of them should state their
objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days
after the first publication of this notice to the Secretary of the
Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, care of Tribunals
Division, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington; and notice
is hereby further given that if any objection is received as
aforesaid and unless the objector otherwise requires, a public
hearing of any such objection will be held and each objector
will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces of land situate in the Petone Borough, lying
to the north of Jackson Street, and comprising portion of the
western arm of the Hutt River, situated east of Tennyson
Street and Heretaunga Street and described as follows:

(a) 2833 square metres (2 roods and 32 perches), being part
Section 10, Hutt District, and being part of the land comprised
and described in certificate of title, Volume 44, folio 116
(Wellington Registry), shown coloured blue on Survey Office
Plan No. 25767, and standing in the name of the Gear Meat
Preserving and Freezing Co. of New Zealand Ltd.

(b) 354 square metres (14 perches), be the same a little more
or less, being part Section 729, Hutt District, and being part
of the land comprised and described in certificate of title,
Volume 864, folio 90 (Wellington Registry), shown coloured
sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 25767, and standing in the
name of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens, of the
Borough of Petone.

(c) 733 square metres (29 perches), be the same a little more
or less, being part Section 729, Hutt District, and being part
of the land comprised and described in certificate of title,
Volume 864, folio 90 (Wellington Registry), shown coloured
sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 25767, and standing in the
name of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough
of Petone.

(b) 1770.5 square metres (1 rood and 30 perches), be the same
a little more or less, situate in Block XIV, Belmont
Survey District, being part Section 24, Hutt District, and
being part of the land comprised and described in Deeds
Index, Volume 5, folio 382 (Wellington Registry), being shown
coloured sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 24346, and standing
in the name of William G. Plowman.

(c) 154.3 square metres (6.1 perches), be the same a little
more or less, situate in Block XIV, Belmont Survey District,
being part Section 24, Hutt District, and being part of the
land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume
86, folio 137 (Wellington Registry), being shown coloured
blue on Survey Office Plan No. 24346, and standing in the
name of Gerald Belfield Bradshaw.

GREY COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF A PUBLIC ROAD

THE Grey County Council hereby gives notice of its intention
to take the pieces of land at Poerua, described in the Schedule
hereto, and shown on plan No. S.O. 9828, in the Lands and Sur-
vey Office, at Hokitika, for the purpose of a public road
under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928. A plan
of the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the office of
the Grey County Council, Gresson Street, Greymouth, and
may be inspected at the office of such council at any time during
normal business hours of such council.

Any persons objecting to the proposal to take such land
for road purposes (not being an objection to the amount of
compensation payable for such land), may lodge their objections
in writing with the Town and Country Appeal Board,
175 The Terrace, Wellington, at any time on or before the 3rd
day of February 1978. If any objection is being lodged a
public hearing of the objection will be held unless the
objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised
of the time and place of the hearing.
