NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF A PUBLIC ROAD

THE Grey County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to take the pieces of land at Coal Creek near Greymouth, described in the Schedule hereto and shown on plan No. SO9177, in the Lands and Survey Office at Hokitika, and marked “A” and “B” respectively for the purpose of a public road under the provisions of The Public Works Act 1928. A plan of the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the office of the Grey County Council, Gresson Street, Greymouth, and may be inspected at the office of such Council at any time during normal business hours of such Council.

Any persons objecting to the proposal to take such land for road purposes (not being an objection to the amount of compensation payable for such land), may lodge their objections in writing with The Town and Country Appeal Board, 175 The Terrace, Wellington, at any time on or before the 10th day of February 1978. If any objection is lodged a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
