shall be 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s
Day.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws
PURSUANT to section 8A of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Wanganui River Scenic Board Bylaw No. 1, 1977, made and confirmed at a meeting of the Wanganui River Scenic Board, held on 23 February 1977.

The Motor Launch (Mataura River and Toetoes Harbour) Notice 1977—Southland County Council
PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give the following notice.
NOTICE
-
(a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Mataura River and Toetoes Harbour) Notice 1977.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette. -
Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 (b) and 11 (c) of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, shall not apply with respect to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water in the Mataura River downstream of the State Highway 92 road bridge to the sea, including all the waters of Toetoes Harbour, but excluding the waters of the Titiroa Stream.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THERE shall be erected at the Fortrose Boating Club’s ramp at Fortrose and also on the downstream side of the State Highway 92 bridge, a notice board painted bright orange with black lettering setting out the extent and nature of the exemption.

Licensing the Raglan County Council to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Pokohue River, Raglan, as a Site for a Footbridge
PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit the Raglan County Council (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Pokohue River, Raglan, as shown on plan marked M.D. (N) 443, and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport, at Auckland, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a footbridge as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of September 1977.
- The annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be ten cents ($0.10) payable on demand; provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

The Motor Launch (Lake Benmore and Loch Laird) Notice 1977—Waitaki County Council
PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give the following notice.
NOTICE
-
(a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Lake Benmore and Loch Laird) Notice 1977.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the Gazette. -
Subject to the conditions set forth in the Third Schedule hereto, regulations 11 (b), (c), and (d), and 12 (b), (c), and (d) of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, shall not apply to the area specified in the First and Second Schedules hereto, during the hours of daylight.

Notice is hereby given that the Motor Launch (Lake Benmore) Notice 1975, Waitaki County Council, is hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL the waters of the Ahuriri Gorge, Lake Benmore, bounded to the west by a straight line from the headland at the western entrance to the gorge (bearing 273° true 4.1 miles from Black Jacks Point) due north to the opposite shore, and bounded to the south by a straight line from Black Jacks Point in a 280° true direction to the opposite shore, and bounded to the north by a straight line from the headland bearing 040° true 0.75 miles from Black Jacks Point in a 284° true direction to the opposite shore.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water of Loch Laird excepting thereout that area of water to the south west of a boom at the south western end of the loch as indicated by a boom placed on the water and as designated “swimming area” by a notice board on the bank at either end of the boom.
THIRD SCHEDULE
THE area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be shown cross-hatched on a plan of the gorge which shall be displayed on the lower portion of a notice board measuring not less than 800 mm by 600 mm, painted bright orange with black lettering, which notice board shall be erected at each end of the three boat launching ramps on Lake Benmore.
- The upper portion of the aforesaid notice board shall contain the following notice:
NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
THERE is no speed restriction for motor launches using the area shown cross-hatched on the plan below. All boats must keep to the starboard or right hand side of the channel.
- There shall be erected on the banks of Loch Laird to the satisfaction of the Regional Marine Officer, Christchurch, such notice boards as he thinks fit describing the particular conditions relating to the use of the waters of the loch.
