Declaring Land, and an Easement Over Land, Taken for the Purposes of a Water Reservoir in Block VIII, Mahurangi Survey District, Rodney County

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a water reservoir, and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Rodney, and that an easement appurtenant to the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto for the purposes of a water reservoir, vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Rodney the rights contained in the provisions of paragraphs 1, 2, 3, and 5 of the Seventh Schedule to the Land Transfer Act 1952, provided however that with respect to the rights to convey water and to drain water contained in the provisions of the said paragraphs 2 and 3 respectively, all such water shall be conveyed or drained as the case may be through underground pipes, and provided further that the said Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Rodney shall be responsible for maintenance of the right of way over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto and for the erection and maintenance of fences and gates required at the ends of the said right of way.

Amending a Declaration Declaring Land Taken for an Automatic Telephone Exchange in the City of Gisborne

PURSUANT to section 330A of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby amends the declaration, dated the 11th day of August 1977, and published in Gazette, No. 96, 15 September 1977, on page 2481, declaring land taken for an automatic telephone exchange in the City of Gisborne by omitting the words “Hawke’s Bay Land District” and substituting the words “Gisborne Land District”.
