(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve nor days when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of closing shall be 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being days when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of closing shall be 11 o'clock in the evening.
(c) On every New Year's Eve (not being a day when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members), the hour of closing shall be 0.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club Premises—South Canterbury Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as substituted by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the South Canterbury Licensing Committee on 29 September 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to chartered club members, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the chartered club known as Ashburton Club and Mutual School of Arts, Ashburton:

(a) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being days when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning, and the hour of closing 11 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On every New Year's Eve (not being a day when chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members) the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing 0.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

Alteration in Frequency of Sittings: Magistrate's Court: Lumsden

PURSUANT to section 22 (1) of the Magistrate's Courts Act 1947, the Minister of Justice has approved that, from 24 October 1977, the Magistrate's Court at Lumsden shall sit regularly on half a day a month.

Environmental Impact Report Notified: Hydro-Electric Investigation of the Patea River

THE Commission for the Environment has received an environmental impact report prepared by the Egmont Electric Power Board on a proposal for a small hydro-electric scheme on the Patea River.

Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of the proposal and on the report are invited and should be sent to the Commission for the Environment P.O. Box 11244, Wellington, before 3 December 1977.

Copies of the report may be obtained from the Egmont Electric Power Board, P.O. Box 94, Hawera.

The report may be read at the public libraries in Patea, Hawera, and New Plymouth as well as at the libraries of the 4 main centres and the 7 university institutions.

Amending the Foreshore Licence Authorising Lake Taupo Marina Ltd. to Occupy Sites for Jetties, Slipways, and Mooring Piles at Lake Taupo

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give notice that the licence of 6 April 1977*, authorising Lake Taupo Marina Ltd. to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Waikato River at Taupo, as a site for jetties, slipways, and mooring piles, is hereby amended by inserting the symbols “and MD(N) 360” after the symbols “MD 14397”, and is hereby further amended by inserting after the phrase “jetties, slipways, and mooring piles, coloured red and yellow on the said plan” the phrase “and that jetty adjacent to Lot 74 as indicated by the arrow on plan MD(N) 360”.

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Rotorua County Lake Waters Control Bylaw 1977, made by the said Council and passed and adopted by the Rotorua County Council, and passed and adopted at meetings of the said Council on the 23rd day of August 1977 and the 27th day of September 1977 respectively.

PURSUANT to section 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby approve the Taranaki County Council General Bylaw 1967, Amendment No. 8 (Reserves and Foreshores) 1977, made at a meeting of the Taranaki County Council held on 11 February 1977 and confirmed at a meeting of the Council, held on 11 March 1977.

Licensing the Wairarapa Yacht Club (Inc.) to occupy a Site for a Jetty at Lake Wairarapa

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit the Wairarapa Yacht Club (Inc.) (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the lake shore and bed of Lake Wairarapa, as shown on plan marked M.D.(C)16 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto. The licence of 20 July 1976*
