Approval of Motor Cycle Training Schools

PURSUANT to regulation 19D (5) of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964, the Minister of Transport hereby approves the training schools, listed in the Schedule hereto, for the issue of certificates of riding instruction for the purpose of the said regulations.

THE Palmerston North Motor Cycle Training School.

The New Plymouth Motor Cycle Training School (conducted under the auspices of the New Plymouth Polytechnic).

The Traffic Officers Training School (conducted by the Ministry of Transport).

The Traffic (Mangonui County) Notice No. 1, 1976

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Mangonui County) Notice No. 1, 1976.

2. The roads, specified in the First Schedule hereto, are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road, specified in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby declared to be a 70-kilometre-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

4. The Traffic (Mangonui County) Notice No. 2, 1971, dated the 21st day of July 1971†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relates to roads situated within Mangonui County at Awanui, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Mangonui County at Awanui:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 80 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Gills Road to the Awanui River Bridge.

Gills Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 480 metres measured westerly generally along Gills Road from the said State highway.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Mangonui County at Awanui:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from Spains Road to the Awanui River Bridge.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Mangonui County) Notice No. 2, 1976.

2. The roads, specified in the Schedule hereto, are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The Traffic (Mangonui County) Notice No. 1, 1971, dated the 13th day of February 1971, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, which relates to roads, situated within Mangonui County at Ahipara, is hereby revoked.

Ahipara Foreshore Road: from a point 120 metres measured easterly generally along the said road from Takahē Road to a point 2500 metres measured north-westerly and south-westerly generally along Ahipara-Foreshore Road from Takahē Road.
